Thread: Bank-to-bank money transfers
Okay here's the deal. I'm expanding my business to several different planets and have different people selling me their goods on the "good faith system" Basically they offer them to my vendors for 1cr and email me the actual price. I then sell the items and then pay the sellers for whatever I sold. This is better than having them offer it to my vendor for the actual price because one of the sellers is an Architect, and I cannot, as a Stimpack Chemist, afford to buy his Heavy Structures outright.
Now here's the problem. Without doing some weird manipulating of the Vendors (the only way we figured out how to do a payback is for them to offer a "bank item" to the Vendor and have me buy it once the sale is done but then I would have to email each Seller when their stuff sells), we can't figure out any other way of doing this. My main store of operations is too far away from town to keep on running back and forth to withdraw the funds, and then I have to bother the Seller to come trade with me to get their money.
Is there a way in this game to make a bank-to-bank money transfer? That would be the most logical to me, and since the NPC's/Quests do this, I imagine there's some way for PC's to do it.
/tip [amount] [playername] bank
You're charged 5% of the total amount as a transaction fee, though.
That is correct, or /tip [playername] [amount] bank works equally as well.
It sounds to me like the far simpler solution is for you to bump up your cash reserves so you can just buy these items outright and carry them on your inventory until sold. Your plan sounds awefully labor-intensive to me, not to mention that 5% surcharge really adds up.
