Put a new house an vendor in a player city yesterday. Put my items on sale and noticed that the price on the vendor for the items jump 100 credit for every 1000 that the item is sold. For instance I put an item for sale on my vendor for 1000 and then go look at the item under sales and it is listed as 1100 for the price. Is this related to the player city or some new tax implemented game wide?

It means the Mayor of your city has implemented the city sales tax. That automatically adds the tax percentage onto every vendor sale. The taxed amount is automatically deposited into the city treasury to pay for city maintenance fees. You can check the tax rates the Mayor has set for the city by accessing the City management terminal in the city hall. There could be property and income taxes set as well. Cool huh?

10% sales tax... Way to drive out the customers! I'd be having serious words with your mayor if i were you.

I don't know. Why shouldn't customers who shop in the convenience of your city help defray the expenses of running the city by paying a small sales tax? Citizens may also be paying property and income taxes to assist the city treasury withthe huge fees it costs to keep a city running at 100% with no structures labeled as invalid and doomed to self-destruct in one week. I think it's only fair that consumers be a part of the system they are enjoying.

10% is rather high. The HIGHEST it should be is 5%. 10%?!?!?
