Thread: What to do with non-paying customers?
What do you guys do for people who don't pay for custom orders?

As others have mentioned, I've been lucky enough not to have much problem with this.
Well here is my solution, and if they want a custom order, they should not mind my method (and haven't yet).
Simple: get half up front, non-refunadable. That way if they bail out, you still have something for your efforts. It works in the real world, make it work in the game.
For custom orders, I always take te order, make it, put it in a travel pack, and put it on my vendor. I label the pack "Billy's Order" so nobody else will buy it. Then I tell the person that thier order is on my vendor. Never been ripped off.
Thyek Parsh, CDeli City - Naboo, Bria Galaxy
My vendor is almost always fully stocked with all manner of combinations for droids, and since coloring only occurs after purchase, there isn't much of an issue with customization beyond that. However, I don't have 10 BLL deeds and another 10 chassis sitting onmy vendor, so if anyone wants more than 1 of each then it's custom since they take a lot of resources to make.
Example: I had someone ask me if I could make him 4 Binary Load Lifters. at 32k each this is not something I want to chance so in this case 1/2 now 1/2 later, especially since the buyer always has the option of camping out in front of my house/shop and yelling how I ripped him off if he wants to. I don't know where he lives or if he's ever going to logon again after I do this job for him. So, I tell him to email me his order so I have some sort of proof of what he wanted and how much he agreed to pay for it.
Also, if they're in a PA it helps to contact the leader for info on the guy. If the leader seems like an okay guy/gal, I might let the 1/2 now payment slide since it's not like I can't use the final product if he/she bails on the deal. If the PA leader is not agreeable to me, the 1/2 now stands no matter what. If the customer doesn't like it, too bad for them. I appreciate business just as much as the next guy but I'm playing this game for fun not to get grief.
