I don't currently have Advertising 4 which is needed to program a ad barking droid, but I was wondering if there are a couple of work arounds to this.
1st I was wondering if I could give the droid to someone who has Ad4 and have them program the droid for me then give the droid back to me so I can use it to advertise. Would the droid still be programed?
2nd could I get Ad 4 program the droid with the ad that I want and then drop Ad 4 and have the droid stay prgramed?
If I could I would keep Ad 4, but lets face it skill points are always tight.

Well the bad news for you is that you have to have Ad4 to activate the droid's adbarking. If you trade it and trade it back the adbarking is turned off when you get it back. If you drop AD4 you will lose the ability to turn it back on the next time you pull the droid.

I still cannot fathom why this is the only profession that people feel they are justified in wanting to keep the benefits after they drop the skills to get SP's back to use for other purposes. I never see people saying "well I used to be a master doctor, but I had to drop it to level up my rifleman skills, how come I don't keep the schematics for all the meds I could make before".

actually I remeber alot wanting this..back when med use was in BE tissue, folks would just eagerly clothe their level up instead of devoting skill points to the training.
I know about 20 people while doing 'the grind' became very upset ( at which i died laughing) that they did not infact keep the schems they had just learned and dropped for the next prof.
and 1 ID who was livid that after she did all the grind then dropped it all couldn't fathom why she couldn't 'just do my friggen lipstick' after all that....
