Okay, so ppl have asked in the past fora vendor admin system ... this is not your typical vendor admin proposal.
how about this ...
when a person is put on a vendor's admin list, it does not allow them access to the vendors merchant functions, but instead allows them access to the vendors purchasing functions.
a vendor would have the "privacy" function as a structure does. A vendor would default to a "public" vendor. if you choose the "privacy" function, then you could "admin" guild members or friends to your vendor so only the ppl on the admin list could purchase/offer items to that vendor. if someone not on the vendor admin list tried to "use vendor" they would simply get a message ... "This is a private vendor"
Of course, any vendor marked as "private" would automatically be removed from the PAC if it were previously on the PAC, and if it was not on the PAC, would not be allowed to be adverticed on the PAC. the owner of the vendor would receive a message simply stating ... "This vendor is not eligible for the planitary ad campain".
what do you think?

This type of idea has been presented before. I think that, instead of a vendor admin, there be an interface for directed sales. So, when you list an item, there is an exclusive sale option where you enter the name of the intended buyer.
I still don't believe any type of vendor admin is a good thing.

Haveing a vendor in my shop that is basically saying look but dont touch , isn't really my style.
I would not want to have 1 vendor set aside just for this purpose either.
Letting customers pickup at your normal vendors is what we should aim for.
CurrentlyI have warning about buying labled items (orders in a bag with players names) in desription and on 'signs' and will ban folks who buy what isn't theirs.
Haveing a input right where price goes but for a 'pickup name'would be a huge help.
Ibelieve vendors should be allowed to be factionalized, and guilded, meaning you can set a fee or reduced price or deny service to a faction or guild by name

Okay so basically the same idea just yours is let limited on options.
Rather than being able to "privatize" the vendor have a function added where you could sell an item only to a specific name, guild tag, faction. Im assuming that this would take place in the "sell item" screen ... maybe have a box added underneath the sell amount where you could either type in a name, represent a guild using <tag>, or simply type imperial, rebel, neutralfor faction. like this idea much better. however, i do feel that the imperial/rebel should be controlled at the door as well. as most merchants who use this function would sell ALL of their items to only select faction members, this should also be a total vendor function not just a by sale option, this would keep unwanted faction from entering your shop and the vendor could show up red to members of the banned faction. this way, they would know not to waste their time.

Yeah, I think that idea has been passed around for quite some time as well...I'm sure there are many factioned merchants who would love to restrict sales to their side..

My only advise about this is to ditch the name "Vendor Admin" and use something else. Admin means certain things in the SWG universe and is a term that will turn many merchants off (including myself). The ideas behind this proposal are sound though are have been brought up before in a number of slightly differing proposals. The concept that we need a way to direct sales to specific persons and groups and that we should be able to turn off the offer system for the general public are good ideas. The name though has to go..

Okay how about "vendor useability"
however ... that just sounds retarded.
we cant use the current "entry list" as for structures ...
so i dunno lol ... can ya feel the wood burning?

I think "Access" and "Ban" lists on the vendor would be more applicable names.
Access lists could be set to "All" by default. Ban lists could be set to null by default. If these two items were available as options it would *almost* solve most of my vendor sales issues.
I still want my vendor in a private house, even if there's some limitation such as the guild PA hall, my residence, whatever. The limitation of not being able to choose who I sell to in this game is a major threat to the balance of power of the GCW, IMO.

Vendor Access List might work or Sales Access List and Offers Access List because I think the two should be separated.
I am honestly less interested in the sales access list. I want the ability to direct a particular sale to an individual or group but I have no interst in limiting access to my vendors to certain people. I do however wish I could remove the ability to offer things on my vendor to people I have set up a relationship with and have agreements with.

I'd like to see some sort of "offers access" thing too.
I don't like it when people offer random things to my vendors (usually for more than I'd sell it for) and I'd like a way toreject all offers outright.
There was one guy who wanted me to build him some harvesters and I told him that unfortunately I didn't have time to do it. The next day when I log on he's offered a bunch of resources to my vendor for building one at 1cr.
As a general rule I don't accept unsolicited offers.
However, I use my vendors as a drop off point for things that my associates bring me so I'd like to be able to set it up to accept offers from specific people or guilds.
Allowing for directed sales would give me the ability to do the same thing in reverse for them.
