Thread: spam and merchant droids

i just wanted to complain and see how others felt. any most major cities u have people none stop spamming and and are afk. i worked hard to get a merchant droid to advertise my vendor but know one can see my droid speak with all the others spam non stop sec after sec. i have seen some people there all day and night for weeks now. is there any way to increase speed of merchantr droid spam? it doesnt seem fair...

no there arent, and btw peeps most hate afk/droid spammers.
i try to spam while i am running around with doing stuff. just having an macro running over my head.
and i know tons of peeps hate the afk spammer. and there even an spam bot at the village. lol

Actually you would be surprised to know how many hear you Dog.
Itis common practice for most eveyone now to /addignore spammers that yell and screech.
Where as Dogs bark slowly and politly in say, and cannot be /addignored, so a one well curbed can be very helpful.

Personally, I'd hate to see spam bots be sped up.
I routinely /addignore anyone who spams more often than once every 60 sec.
I would prefer some method to force the spammers into an AFK state so their chat could be auto-ignored by the AFK chat filter.
This would make the droids infinitely more valuable.
FYI, I did submit the JTL auto-store bug as one of our two immediate bug fix requests.

Once every 60 seconds is a good pace. Rarely is someone in a starport for shorter than that. Almost never are they there so short a time that the every-10-second people need to spam that fast, and if they are leaving that quickly, then they probably aren't interested anyway.

if someones going to spam then they should be present and not AFK.

oh no they should definatly be AFK, that way the auto filter takes em out and my addignore can stay clear for the idiots I personally dont want to hear
