I believe you can destroy the vendor.

Once you reject it, you have no way of knowing whether or not they have picked it up anyway.

And just like anything else on your vendor, it will be destroyed forever.

I recommend waiting until they pick it up though, unless you really don't like them. Once you destroy the vendor, they can't pick the item back up. They lose it, and get mad at you for it.

Just as a side note, I had a 100k stack of ore priced at 8 million credits which I was offering back to a vendor that I had bought it from (was late and I thought I scored a bargain at 800,000 credits). I sent an email, and waited patiently for about a week, week and a half, when I went back to retrieve the stack of ore. I was very grateful to see the vendor still there.

If the items are of much value, you should at least email the sellers and give them a reasonable amount of time to pick up the item (I don't think2 or 3weeks is an unreasonable amount of grace period). Just thought I'd shout out my two cents.

Perhaps, most of what gets offered to my vendors is solicited and I pick up in a day or two. The unsolicited stuff I really don't care about.

I'm not talking about One Handed Axes and CDEFs offered for 2000 credits, I get these all the time and think nothing about rejecting or even ignoring these offers. However, certain merchants gain a reputation for buying loot, or resources or whatever it may be. It is not uncommon for me to recieve large bags of loot, with a mail requesting that I examine the goods and tip what is fair, or refuse what I might not want.

My only point to all of this is simply that it's good business practice to at least reply by mail to offers, and give them a reasonable period of time to collect their goods. What may seem like a mere couple of hundred thousand in geo cubes to one, may be another's career savings.
