I had a friend's vendors go poof one week after they went empty, two weeks top. The stockroom had dozens and dozens of droids and accessories in them.

He's pretty much giving up the droid business after that.

Server boundy more than likely, especially if you know for a fact that there is maintenance them.

Whenever I get a large congregation of players near by business house, my vendors go on vacation. The trainers I have placed do it as well. If there is noone else near by to load that area, driving out 1k and back again may fix it. But only if there is noone within 500m of it while you do it.

PS: If that doesn't work, wait til server reset and they will be back. (I think the logging out for an hour trick works too.)

Same happened to me. I have 4 vendors and one disappeared a few days ago. I log in today and itcame back, but 2 others are gone (about 20mil worth on the 2). I'll have to wait and see if they come back...

UPDATE: The 2 came back, but the first one is gone again... not fun.

Something else to keep in mind is zone lines and boundries..

if you cant get your vendors to load, when they do actually load (as harsh as it may sound) move..

While I am ever so certain the DEVs are working on solving such problems right into their sleep cycles

I am even more sure of the fact I would rather see vendors when I walk into a shop and not just spoken about.

And as a Merchant, I would much ratherremake a vendor in a new spot, instead of playing the wait and seeand hope game.

File a CSR ticket immediately! I am pretty sure they keep that information in the system (about what vendors you had, etc) but for not very long, so if you wait, the CSR will not have the logs he/she needs to get your stuff back.

Good luck with your vendors, definetly the worst time for this to happen. But on a lighter side thanks for the great post! Got me chuckling that is for sure!

I didn't know that on the night before the CU, every jedi on Shadowfire would want new saber resources. I still can't figure out why

Because someone was smart enough to get word to them that the should make their sabers now for conversion instead of trying to make one after,

I believe it is also because alot of them will be respecing and may drop the saber linefor anotherone..

Oh yeah - good point. If they drop master sabers, then they won't be able to make a saber that's as good. So if they make a 3rd generation saber now, it'll be better than the 3rd generation saber they make tomorrow (if they drop master sabers). Other than that, I don't really know anything about conversion. I haven't read up on the CU.

Ok this time the CSR was not helpful. CSR response was 'wait until server reset to see if that changes anything'. That's about as helpful to me as instructing me to update my video card driver and reformat my hard drive. How often do the servers reset anyway?

Fortunately, my vendors reappeared an hour or so after I logged off last night. CSR responded about 10 hours after that. Not a bad response time. I'm guessing they just don't know what causes the problem or how to fix it. Hopefully it doesn't happen very frequently or to very many people. But something to watch out for.

Second time this has happened. My vendors up and vanished, just minutes after I left my shop. Of course, they are loaded with items, have maintenance fully paid, etc. They were working fine 1 minute, then the next minute I was getting tells from random people asking why I had gone out of business. The vendors have been in the same place for about a year - and I'm not on a server boundary that I know of (do these change periodically)?Butthe vendors just dissapeared from my shop. I tried going away (different planet) and coming back, logging in and out, but nothing brought them back.

Unfortunately, this happened on one of the busiest shopping nights I've ever seen. When my vendors abandoned me, I had masses of customers wandering aimlessly around my shop, bumping into walls, drooling on themselves, and wondering where on earth they were going to find lightsaber resources on the night before the CU. So since I don't actually craft anything, I decided to fill orders as I could. I told my wife I'd be in bed in 10 minutes. I didn't know that on the night before the CU, every jedi on Shadowfire would want new saber resources. I still can't figure out why. But in the end, I did about 20 million credits worth of business in a couple hours - it usually takes mea coupleweeks to sell that much stuff. I had lines of jedi out the door most of the evening. If my vendors dare return, they are in for a serious beating. I just wish I could cut their pay, but apparently even endentured servants have a minimum wage.

This happened once before, and a CSR was able to fix it. He said he found them wandering around Naboo. I think they were plotting against me. I think they decided to pick an opportune time to revolt, knowing better than I did that tonight would be a prime shopping night. I hired a CSR bounty hunter to track them down tonight. Hopefully he can return my vendors back to the shop, frozen in carbonite if necessary. I just need them there. My customers depend on it. And they ran off with about 30 million credits worth of merchandise too. They better be back by morning or I'm putting bigger bounties on their heads, alive or not...
