I have been using a special orders vendor for some time now, and I do have a few decoys

I was under the impression that this was ok?

I mean, if CSR's say that other people's orders can be bought by somone else without punishments, why cant I protect those oders?

Were backed by our great correspondant, but this CSR feels differently.

The items was returned to me, the cash taken away and my order vendor emptied...

email i got:

>
> Greetings,
>
> CSR JohnH here. It has been brought to the attention of Customer Service that you have committed trade fraud. This is in regard to your vendor selling bags with misleading names in regard to their contents. I ask that you immidiately discontinue this sort of behavior as it is in direct violation of our Terms of Service. Please note that failure to adhere to this request will result in immediate, additional disciplinary action that can included suspension and even account closure. Thank you for your future consideration of your peers and your environment.

My rules item says that there are decoys and thee are items for only the real buyers...

I kinda feel like they hate us merchants even more now.

I guess it would come down to what you were using as a "decoy" name.

Having an bag called "bob's order" priced at 5k with just a chance cube in it would not be fraud (unless someone named bob had placed a legitimate order for something other than a chance cube).

Having a bag called "uber krayt tissue" priced at 5k with just a chance cube in it would be fraud.

In the first case, if someone other than Bob bought the order, they were wrong. The item on sale promises to be nothing more than an item for Bob.

In the second case, that is clearly false advertising. The item on sale promises to be something specific which it is not.

And it does not matter whether or not your vendor clearly states that it is for custom orders or not.
The game makes no such destinction and as such all transactions are covered by SOE's fraud policies.

1) Keep in mind that my opinions are merely my own and I have zero input into what SOE thinks about things.

2) On the surface, that wouldn't seem to be a problem but I don't know the whole story so I can't say for sure.

3) If you feel the CSR's response was incorrect, you can always pursue it higher up the CS chain. They would have logs and would have a much better view of the situation.

However, if your item promised something that wasn't in that container, it would be you who was in the wrong.
