I noticed today and i think in the last few days the devs have made items being placed for sale on vendors expire in 7 days again from 30which was just implemented in thel ast patch. What gives?WHat a pain in the ass. Just when I thought my pain was over.

You have to remove the items from the vendor and put them back to get the 30 day timer to take effect. Anything that was on the vendor before the patch will still have 7 days even if you withdraw it and resell it. Only items sold after the patch wll have the 30 day timer.

What I did was withdrawl all sales.. then filled up my inventory with as much as i could carry.. Put them up for sale.. then pulled more off of the stockroom and repeated till i was done..

Dont need to take them all of the vendor at one time... just cycle threw everything till you get it all done

It wasn't necessary for my pre patch vendors, I'm not suggesting that it isn't possible that some prepatch vendors won't work, but I didn't have to do that. Every item I have sold via the sales screen and not the stockroom has come up with a 30 day timer instead of 7.

I did the same thing.... cycling through the stock room to my inventory to back on the vendor and all my stuff still fell off after 7 days.... what gives?

I noticed that most of my stocks still work on the 7 day timer after being replaced post patch, but removing the vendor and replacing is a bit of a chore because im based in a mall and lost admin rights as soon as the vendor was placed, plus removing about 250+ items of stock to remove the vendor is a bit of a pain.

I get the impression people aren't reading the work-round that people post, as it's been posted in several ways in this thread, yet the question is still being posted after the explainations. Guessing it might be because people see a long paragraph and skip it, here it is in fewer words...

How to get 30 day sales:

1. Go to the stockroom. Click on the item you want a 30 day sale for.


2. Click on 'retrieve'.


3. Go to the for sale area of the vendor.


4. Click on 'Sell an item'.


5. Select the item you've just retrieved from your inventory, and put it up for sale. It will now have a 30 day timer.

Things not to do:

1. Don't use the 'sell item' button in the stockroom. This will result in a 7 day sale.


2. Don't select to retrieve more items that you have inventory space for. The extra items will be deleted. Either count them carefully, or retrieve them one at a time.

Thx guys. I'll give this a shot but still what a pain! Why did they make it so you have to retrieve all the items? Is that really necessary? D'oh!

Well I"m glad there's a way to get a 30 day timer, but it would be nice if we didn't have to retrieve everything to sell it. I've got about 900 items I have to retrieve, on three different planets.

Yea, but at least you have a way to get out of the 7day timer.

On a sad note..if you buy something from the offer screen and then resell it .. the timer is 7 days. GRRR!

Anything sold from the stockroom, whether it's a new or old vendor, whether it's a new or old item, has a 7 day limit. It's a bug, yet hasn't been acknowledged by SOE yet as an issue as far as I've seen. Anything sold from your inventory, directly to the vendor, has a 30 day limit. That was the only interface changed in the patch. So in order to get your 30 day limit, you must 'retrieve' each item from the stockroom and then sell them, one by one directly from your inventory, from the initial screen.

It's a pain, and one you'll need to go through every 30 days for items that didn't sell. Some professions/merchants will never see this as an issue (once initally setup), while others will be hit by it often. If you have a large selection of low turnover stock, such as a tailor with huge color selections, you may not turn over everything in 30 days. If you're selling a bunch of pet stims, and restock as they disappear, you may never see the issue again.

Of course there is another bug that given the above, is a MAJOR annoyance/issue. Many merhcants find they need to pull out large numbers of items from their stockroom in order to get the 30 day timer. There is a new interface function that allows you to shift-select multiple items at once and click retrieve, thereby speeding up the retrieval process. If you select more items than you can hold and click retrieve, all the extra items are destroyed, gone forever. Many have been hit with this bug trying to do this 30 day workaround, so be careful.

I'm getting the same. I've relisted items since the patch and they're turning over after 7 days. I have about 900 items listed overall. 30 days would be much better. Has anyone managed to keep their stock up for longer than 7 days?

Good thing I am moving my shop then... seeing as I have to go thru all of this.
