when i try to use my "\" for signs and such it doesnt show up in the window like it should (yes i know it doesnt appear normally in the chat window, but i was told it appeared in item name and house name input boxes), and as a result i cannot make colour signs : ( anyone have the same problem as me and or knows how to fix it?

Colors will now only work for house names.You can no longer colorizeitem names.

Make sure you're using the following format: \#000000 HouseName

Are you trying to use it in game or for a sign?

Last night I kept trying it for signs and I had to push it a few times before it actually typed it for the store sign.

Shadowfire was really messed up last night, that might have had something to do with it

i am using the correct format, however when i press my \ button in game nothing happens

I know that some of the European type configurations for keymaps cause this... the "\" symbol won't type out. Any chance you are not in the US? If not, it's likely this keymap problem.

Apparently, there is no way to assign that symbol to a key, either, in game, but enough people have been making a stink that perhaps it will be fixed soon. (Hehe, okay, so maybe not, but I am trying to make you feel better.)

See if it works if you type it out of game and then copy and paste... you have to set up copy and paste in the keymap first, though. (I just mapped it to Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V like in Windows.)

BTW, waypoint names and structure names can still use hex codes - it's just crafted item names that cannot use them anymore.

Bring back my item colors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And yes, use copy and paste and create your desired name in notepad or email and paste it into the house/wp name is by far the best approach.
