Ok so since publish 9 basically broke the use of barker droids and this morning hotfix was only applied to vendors being broken by pub 9 as well, i suspect the only reason they even touched merchant was because of their instant buy/retrieval feature they implimented in the mini publish didnt work, barker droids are still broken. And since devs basically will ignore this problem for then next few months, is it even worth to try and use them now?

Are you refering to the pet autostore thing? Or something else? I was planning on asking about the autostore thing this morning but I am gathering more facts about it first.

I think that if we should get the DE community involved, in order to maximize our chances of being heard by the Devs. I haven't tested or experienced a problem (haven't particularly tried either...), but I encourage you to post to their forum.

I'm talking about the fact that barker droids are barking every 7 to 10 minutes. I checked the patch notes for Pub 9 and i didnt see anything under merchant to explain this gross delay between messages being barked. I thought this mornings merchant hofix would do something so i did a test. Threw my droid out there it barked only once within a span of 10 minutes. I set up this test in a controlled area in my shop so i could see when it spoke again without the annoying spacial chatter bleed in and miss the interval. Barkers are basically broken and now i wonder how much attention will devs even pay to this issue. I mean, remember our supposed Merchant Revamp? I havent heard not one word on it by devs at all. You speak to them and they say the word "jedi" every 2.5 seconds. There are actually other bloody professions in this game you know.

Ok. There is a rule that Merchant Barker droids don't bark unless someone come near them. Is this going on? If some approaches does it bark? How close are you standing to it when its going that long between barks?
I haven't tested this myself since they were on TC. I'll try run some tests myself.

When i did my first test, well wasnt a test really it was when i noticed there was a problem, it was in Theed. And Theed on my server is very busy, theres no way a person didnt walk pass or come close to my droid for it not to bark. I deeded it and redroped, problem still occured. Did a closed test where i dropped it in my shop, still barked once every 7 to 10 mins. Went back out to Coronet, it was very packed, i call Coronet Time Square cause its packed with docs buffing, players in line for buffs and many many players spamming for training, app and advertising there stores. I threw the droid down thinking a new planet will fix things, droid still barked on the 7 to 10 min interval. Droids are broken. Merchants all around are still experiencing this problem which is why i see zero barkers out now on my server cause theres no point in using them if the entire point of having a barker is to advertise your wares and the dang droids dont do anything after the first bark.
