Hello, new person here so please don't be mean. I recently Mastered Artisan, novice Merchant. I've set uptwo vendors and now even have my first shop. I'm wondering if anyone out there would have any suggestions on what are some "basic necessicities" that I should always have on my vendor(s)? I have a few swoops on both my vendors, but I need more input. If anyone could please email me in game and let me know some pointers, I'd be very appreciative! Thanks!

High quality power-ups sell very well. The best sellers seem to be Maximum damage and Speed, in that order. My customerstend to buy 5-10 crates at a time off of the power-up vendor in my shop. So, even though they are cheap, the credits add up quickly.
Oh, and you might want to go into your forum profile and select the server you belong too, so everyone can see whenever you post. Since you are advertising in your signiture and asking people to e-mail you ingame.

Hi Kael,
My recommendation would be the following:
- Buy yourself a couple of equipment factories - 2 preferable but a good idea to at least start with one and then expand from there
1. Power Ups. Power Ups. Power Ups. Go a find or harvest any metal with OQ of 950 or higher. Also go and find any chemical OQ 950 or higher. The type of metal or chemical doesn't matter, only the quality does. Make the following power up combinations and sell them in crates (they come out in crates of 10 from the factory):
Melee: +Speed or + Damage and Mind do very well
Ranged: +Speed or +Damage with Mind (mind reduction is very popular for ranged)
I would recommend having at least 300 crates of all these and keep them stocked. After awhile, once customers know you always have Power Ups in stock, they'll keep coming back to buy.
- You can and will sell these easily for 25 cpu so if you need to pay 10 cpu for high quality resources, think of it as an investment and pay it (to get the quality resources you need). Don't sell for less because this will be your main source of profit for the first little while. 100K stack of resources will last you long enough to establish yourself.
2. Droid Batteries. You should be able to sell these by the crates as well. And sell alot of them. Doctors buy a lot of batteries, especially those who buff for the public.
3. Armour and Weapon Repair Kits: These are popular however this is very reliant on very high CD quality metal. If you can find metals with CD quality of 990 or better, you'll do very well selling 97% to 99% repair kits.
4. Swoops and X-34 Landspeeders. I would recommend a wide price range and don't fall into the trap of low-balling your price on these. Find or harvest resources with the highest SR you can find AND ... make sure you put the % quality in the name of vehicle when you make; e.g., Swoop (90%). If you get a failure, be honest and still put the % (like 54%) and drop the price. Trust me, you'll still sell it.
5. Vehicle Customization Kits. I sell a lot of these - and in crates also. I would recommend making a few hundred and selling them as singles and also in crates.
5. Resources. This may sound like an obvious one, but keep watch of what resourses spawn with very high quality on your server and harvest it - learn what certain professions are looking for. Or, you can specialize and build a business for one particular profession. For example, Tatooine Fiberplast for doctors or Grind Ore / Grind Metal for Archtiects.
Hope that helps. This was exactly my strategy when I first started out. I still sell the above except for the resources. My biggest seller, in terms of quanity, is still Power Ups.

I also sell crafting tools on a very regular basis (5-10 a day), especially since the tool changes in the last publish. Most sales are singles but I keep crates of 4 and 5 for those who know they're going to need that many of a particular kind. It's not a huge business, but it adds to the variety and it's something people need. You could consider getting novice Architect and making crafting stations to go with them, since the experimentation on them (for now) is based off artisan experimentation points and not Arch ones. This may be changed however (as Droid Storage Compartments were some months ago), so don't rely on it.
Aside from that, as others have said, powerups are bread and butter. I'm too busy consuming my own sub-components to sell them, but on the odd occasions I've put excess up they do indeed sell well. Travel packs sell like hotcakes -- singles and crates of 5 & 10 (people use them for storage in houses, hence buying crates).
Vehicles are an option, but they're so heavy in resource requirement that I rarely have more than 20 on my vendor (I have too many other uses for the metals involved). They go all too fast, but oh well.

( Wow, first off this goes out to everyone that replied. Thanks! )
Sevardos,
Thank you for all the information, I really appreciate the help. I'm currently only at base professions and haven't decided what next to master. Until then, this list you've given me will keep me quite busy! That's funny that someone above mentioned the "memory units" or GP's. I made 8 crates of 25 last night and before I logged off I sold every single one of them to one person! Great for Merchant Exp, but it'd be nice if I had one left in the vendor! lol.
I've been filling my 2 shops more, so if anyone out there wishes to just stop by..... please do.... Dantooine, Mining: -331, 3118 . This shop has my first real attempt at a vendor, I have a lot of items for offer. Current special(s): 1 swoop, 1 cust kit(5) in a backpack for 20k credits if I remember right. ( I'm currently at work, so don't quote me please ) My second shop is located on Naboo, City: Vadr. ( again I aplogise ) Straight from the shuttle, 100m away is "Needful Things". This is a shop that'll belong to myself and another friend. As of last night, I placed my first stack of 775 OQ Tatooine Berries (31k quantity) for a price of 60k. There are also speeders,Cust kits, travel packs and some misc loot. I won't be online tonight, but will be making more items come Wednesday night ( say near 7pm CST ). Thanks again for all your help, thanks to everyone above this post as well !! )

Just be sure the powerups don't list "cost" as a powerup. Example: Powerup Cost/Health Cost/Action Cost/Mind Cost. These are not good, and hurt the people using the powerup. I've seen too many novice merchants trying to sell factory crates of this stuff. It isn't good, and it won't sell.

Not true. These are worded badly, but they cut your ham costs. Mind/speed and mind/max melee powerups are big sellers.

Sorry, but I'm not sure what you mean. Are you saying that anyting with Health, Action, Mind don't sell??? If so, you are completely and utterly wrong. So wrong in fact thatI'm going to assume that I'm reading that wrong and what you meant to say was 'be careful on how you name them' - that I would agree with.
Mind reduction, especially for ranged classes, are my biggest seller next to speed. How can you not want a 32% reduction in mind cost? That goes the same for speed/action. Now Health ... that I would agree doesn't sell.

No I just had it turned around. I thought Mind Cost meant the powerup created a negative effect on your mind pool, not a positive effect.
