Im a master merchant and every time i use my protocol barker droid it auto stores itself back into my data pad after just 15-20mins. Which it shouldnt do as my old R2 barker worked fine!!

First i set the message, then set the wp and make sure there is enough battery. I then place the droid and command it to stay and toggle the ad on. I normaly stand and watch for a couple of mins to make sure its working fine then i go do my usuall business.

Later i'll look up my data pad to check the battery and see if its still barking.I check this by clicking on the droid and if the 'store' option is on the radial menu then i know its still working. But low and behold, its back in my data pad with 80% battery left which should be a lot lower if it had been barking for longer.

This is very annoying as i dont have time/dont want to sit (AFK or not) and spam my ad!Is the protocol droid bugged or im i doing something wrong once iv set up my droid?? Does traveling to another planet or anything else trigger the re-store??

Has anyone else had this problem?

Same thing happens to me, this is why I've stopped using the thing. Another useless facet of the game. It doesn't seem to store if I stay with it, but then whats the point ?I may aswell Bark myself.

Actually guys i found the problem for this auto store and it is tied to vehicles. Each time i set up my barker droid and went off into the world as it barked i noticed about 20 to 30 mins later when i go to check my droids power in my d-pad to see if it needs a recharge, it shows that the droid is stored. This upset me alot cause i thought that they were bugged and were useless. Then i realized something. Each time i drop my droid and let it bark and i stay there with it, it never auto-stores. I did a 5hr test, dropped my barker, let it bark throughout the day on my day off, fed it power and so forth and it stayed in the world just fine. Then i tested something that i thought was the bug and was proven right. I fed the droid with a fresh battery and zoomed off on my speeder towards my workshop. Now, a common problem i have with my workshop is that when i dismount my bike and go inside, the bike is not there when i come back out like after 5 minutes or less. I've found this to happen at certain areas of the planets where when you dismount your vehicle and enter a structure, your vehicle auto-stores. When this happens, every pet and droid you have out at that moment auto-stores as well. This is what's causing our barkers to go **poof**. I did a new test, dropped by barker droid but this time i traveled away to my shop and stored my bike manually. Came back 3hrs later the barker droid was still in Theed but was 0% on power but the more important thing is, it didnt store itself. I stepped outside, unpacked by bike and drove down to a shop that i get this auto-bike store happening all the time. Dismounted my bike, went inside, 3 minutes later by bike goes **poof**. I check my d-pad immediately and i see not only is my bike stored, but my droid is too. Barker droids do not, themselves, auto-store, its other properties in the game that are bugged that affects droids. This is what is causing our frustrations. Solution?....

...fix the bloody game...

Thank you, i hope this solves some of you guys problems and please do a test on this cause i'd like to know if this is happening on other servers besides my own.

Cheers for that Dronayus

I noticed my bike auto-stores aswell somtimes but never thought it effected other things. Well, now i shall store my bike when not in use to help prevent the problem.

Ok. I'll ask about this but so you know. The Vehicles aren't really auto-storing. There is a bug in the code that causes the vehicles to lose their ownership information. This means that they are disconnected from your datapad. When this happens you can't store them because they don't have anywhere to go. This led to vehicles everywhere and crashing servers due to the resources never being freed up. So they created a routine that "deletes" these objects when no one is on them and they are "ownerless." This solves the resource issue but creates some others including the maintenance issue with bikes not storing your fixes and some other issue like, undoubtedly the auto store droid thing. What is probably happening is that when the datapad realizes that the bike no longer exists it creates a new copy of it and this might be causing everything to store.

How long is your battery life on the barkers? Mine are about 1 hour so I have to sit next to the barker and keep charging it every hour. Is there a better way?

This bug is known to us. The biggest problem is that itseems to be random. As Doc noted it does not just apply to droids but to all pets and vehicles.

Please post problems with droids in our forum so that way we know that there is still an issue going on. Otherwise it wont end up in our Top 5 bugs to fix.
