text colors are changed by using html code. The proper syntax is (backslash) # (html code) (backslash) (space) (name of shop). So it would looks like this: \#FF0000\ My Shop of Horrors. For a shop sign to be yellow you'd type in: \#FFFF00\ My Shop of Horrors. To find a full list of html code and what colors they correspond to head over to http://songweaver.com/html/colorchart.html. You'll find a large tree of html code and what colors they match. Simply substitute the code in your command line and you should get that color

Hmm, i have a solution:copy/paste. First you have to create this function in-game since SWG doesnt have any default copy/paste keys. In game hit Ctrl+ O andseletct the "Controls" option. Select "Keymap" tab and you'll be brought to a screen listing all your key commands for the game through a line of tabs categorizing each function and key. Click on the "Chat" tab from the tabs above and scroll down the list and find "Chat Copy". Hit enter with "Chat Copy" highlighted and a pop up box will come up. Whatever you type in next will be the key used to do this function so watch what you type. Create a key for thecopy function and exit back to the commands list.Find "Chat Paste" and create a key for the paste function. Now, very important, hit the "apply" button when your done making thekeys, then click "done" or else it wont save. What you've just done is created two keys of yourchoice, one to do the copy funtion, for me i use Ctrl+Z and a paste funtion, Ctrl+X for me. Now, minimize your SWG screen and open notepad or any kind of word processor program (notepad just loads faster). I assume your backslash button works here. Type in what you want for instance "/name \#FF0000\ My Shop of Horrors", copy it, then bring back up your SWG and paste it in using the key you created in-game to act as your paste functionand your set
