Thread: How do I gain Merchant xp?

Well, just started this profession yesterday and atm I´m very confused.
Before I even got novice merchant I had 10k Merchant xp.
Got Novice Merchant and went down to 5k xp,
Today I´ve got 9250 xp (?!) Aha I thought, I´ve sold some stuff at the bazaar so that´s were the xp comes from.
So, I went and put some more stuff at the bazaar, after a while I recived the usual "Your item xxx has been sold to...." , wanted to check how much xp I had gained (since I thought I had gained xp by selling from the bazaar)...but no xp gained (?)
So....aha...some bugg I thought...relogged...but nooo...so...now I´m VERY confused who I got those 4250xp.
I know I can put up a vendor to gain xp, entrance fees etc to gain Merchant xp....but I´ve not done nothing of that yet. Is there another way of gaining Merchant xp?

You don't get any XP from the bazaar sales, all other methods are explained here :

You know you would, I bet you have been itching for people to tear your guide to pieces. 
Seriously though, I love that guide...! I've responded to god knows how many posts quoting it, and reading through it helped me out with some questions I was going to post up on the board.. Deinfately worthy of the five stars I slapped on it, and its smaller counter-part which, by the way, raised a rare smile on my part.

I thought that premium sales on the bazaar gave xp ... did I imagine this? or has it been changed?

Imagine my shock when I found that no sales on the bazaar, no auctions, nothing will give even one point of merchant experience.
I didn't use a vendor to sell my crafted items...and sold everything on bazaar or through other people's vendors because they had admin on the city mall and I didn't.
Imagine my shock and surprise when I saw that despite making millions off the bazaar alone...I had not one single point of merchant experience!

merchant xp ummm i have two vendors atm from which i sell items regulary at cheap prices trying to gain xp faster but i dont seem to be generating xp per sale is it just xp per view of vendor then also i am not generating the 150xp per hour on each of my vendors despite visiting them regularly and my xp is not capped (i wish) no where near......any suggestions, distraught Oufet Iatiff.
