Thread: Do DEVS even listen to their customers?? DONT NERF MERCHANT
They are going about this merchant vendor nerf completely the wrong way. Why do things in SWG always have to be NERFED!? Why can't they help the merchant class, like maybe allow master merchants to actually be able to SELL vendors?? This is a good thing for everyone involved. They sold vendors don't even have to hold more than 100 items themselves, but do a good thing for merchant and not ruin the class.
Don't limit the total amount of items sold to 600 pieces for a master merchant. I mean, god forbid I wanted to be a master weaponsmith and master fencer, I wouldn't be able to sell anything! I know that wouldn't be a good template, but I guess my point is that they are practically forcing you to master merchant if you are a crafter anymore.

Ok, let me start by first saying that I am not a Merchant. Anyone who knows me knows that I am a die-hard PVPer.

Because this isn't about the players - this is about their lack of foresight in establishing systems to deal with their design.
Now, instead of redoing them the way they should have been done in the first place, someone has taken a spreadsheet - figured out how many vendors there are likely to be - figured up the space they think items will take, done some division - then shot us a lowball number so we'll feel oh so much better about a higher number next week.
Since these are likely the same people that estimated the first time - what happens when the bloat gets shifted to another area - like housing?
What happens when there ends up being twice the amount of vendors they estimated?
What happens when everyone ends up opening their Jedi account just to pop a merchant on it? Or crosstrading more lots to build more houses for storage?
By not addressing the underlying problems with the DESIGN they haven't done a thing except perhaps drive droves of players away - which yes, indeed will free up a lot of space - for awhile.
