SWG Devs have mentioned EBAY in posts so don't flame me for mentioning EBAY in my post.

Currently on EBAY 1million credits is listed for around 14 dollars.

So with that as a conversion rate that means if we were to convert the SWG Bazaar with a 6k credit cap into a RL system the cap would be 9 cents.

A RL Bazaar with the cap set at 9 cents would be useless just like a SWG Bazaar with the 6k cap is useless.

Point is the Cap needs to be drastically raised!

Haven't seen a working Republican Blaster on Ebay yet either. Not to mention selling creds on Ebay is a no no.

Comparisons from game to RL are often not a good idea.

The easiest way to make the bazaar useful would be to take the cap off of the auctions. I can understand if the devs want to keep a limit on the fixed prices to help merchants. But the idea of an auction that capsout is just illogical. I mean, what are we supposed to be bidding over, cdefs? Bidding in 1 credit incriments? That just isn't realistic for this economy.

What you fail tomention or realizeis that everything you are sellingon that bazaar (with 9cent cap)is worth 0.000014:1. So a 2k crate of powerups is worth 2.8cents, a 5kpistol is worth 7cents. The Bazaar is mostly for the Newbs. It's for non-professional, beginners merchandise, which shouldn't run someone more than 6k. If you have something to sell that's worth more than 6k, then get a vendor. If you don't think a vendor isn't worth your skill points, than don't sell anything. Merchant IS a class, believe it or not.

Yeah I know it is a no no to sell ebay credits...I am mentioning the ebay conversion rate of credits to money...much like when one of the SWG DEVS says they know that when they fixeda money dupe that it was working because the price of credits on ebay jumped.

I hate RL comparisons to SWG...I was using it sarcasticly to point out that the 6k limit on Bazaar items is unrealistic and very few items in SWG that cost less than 6k are usefull.

And the Bazaar is mainly for new people at this point but it should be expanded to promote use for more then new people.

And the Bazaar can be set up so Merchants can use it too and have an advantage. If you go with a 2% listing tax merchants can have 50% off that price at a certain spot and Merchants can place more items then the 25 limit that the Bazaar has. My post is not to just say hey help the non merchant out...It is to say lets utilize a non working system that is in the game.

I have mastered the merchant class twice and I am currently capped out in merchant xp...yet if the bazaar was setup to work in the manner I am suggesting I would sell on it too.

Merchant is a class...a useless class but you are right it is a class.
