Thread: Can't stock vendors on Tc2 even with skills and less than 600 items

OK so I thought I would play around on TC2 since I play on bria to see how I will deal with this vendor nerf if it goes through.

I deleted hundreds of items down to 550 and then gained enough skills for 6 vendors at level four managment

Now i still cannot place items in my vendor. It still says I have too many merchants placed.

Is there another skill I need in order to place items up to the 600 limit other than managment 4?

I just wondered if anyone else on TC or TC2 has tried to do this?

The only thing I could think is that since I have more than 100 items on some vendors I am not able to place more items on any of the vendors. This would really suck if it came to be as I have too many shirts and pants to fit on one vendor. I would need 3 pants vendors and 2 shirt vendors just to keep them in stock.

I am just tired of testing now though so if anyone knows let me know.

If this is the case they need to change the error message at least so we know what we have to do to fix the problem. Right now it just says I have too many vendors placed for my skill level and I do not.

Makes you wonder if the limits are really "per vendor" or not.

Keep in mind it's a test center.

Yesterday, I logged on TC.

Stomach full, item disapearing,...

Weird stuff happen all the time on test server.
Hell, first time I logged on TC2 everybody was fighting at cap speed. Yes, even novice marksman with a rifle was shooting every second.

Just bug it, but as TC2 is only to test Jedi stuff, I would suggest to try it on TC, or ask someone on TC to test it.

Ok I figured it out, it is broken.

I removed all but 90 items from each of my six vendors and it still told me I had too many vendors placed for my skill level.

As I knew this was not true it upset me, but I figured I would try removing one and see if that worked.

well it did.

So then I was able to make a new vendor and place him and I was able to stock my items again.

fortunatly I had all my vendors in one spot anyway or this would have taken forevor to figure out.

So basically as it is now, even if you have all the skills and organize your vendors properly, you still have to pull one up and lay it down again before you are able to place new items in any of your vendors. My new vendor says "Help stop the vendor nerf"

At least they could have made the nerf work right!!!

Ok, but also keep in mind that unless it is fixed this bug will go live in a few days.

It's a publish.

You have a few weeks.

There will even be a 9.4 patch before 10 hit live.

Just /bug it and provide all the info possible, and maybe also post it in the bug thread on the in test forum.

Who said TC2 was only for Jedi stuff anyway?

I mean it is for testing everything new just like always isn't it? They are just allowing people to test jedi there a little easier with the character builders. but all the regular nerfs go in there too, soI do not see why that would invalidate my claim.

Besides, it would be impossible to have found this bug if my ingame character had not beeen on bria and loaded into TC2 because I would have created new vendors and the problem wouldn't have happened.

This only happened with my existing 6 vendors from Bria that loaded into TC2. But this will affect us all when it goes live and the new nerf is loaded into all our servers. So jedi server or not, somebody better listen to me.

It would suck to get nerfed and gain the skills only to have to redo at least one vendor as well.

TH said that TC2 was specificly here to test FS quest.
So QA people on TC2 are more focused on that.

TC2 isn't like TC, it's a sand box.
After publish 9, it has been wiped.

Now they added new stuff to master what you want in a couple of click.
But they will wipe it again on monday.

I know it would have been impossible for you to find it on TC, but you're not alone.

Oh, hell, I'm just trying to help here, if you just wanna whine and flame do it without me.

Sorry, but TC2 is devoted completely to testing the FS quests and one post from a dev yesterday made it sound like they are annoyed at people using it for other things. The original TC is the regular test server for testing everything else.

Yes I want to whine and flame!!! It is my right as a long time player who has seen this game go downhill since day 1.

There is no way this problem willbe seenon the regular TC.

So going to TC or getting someone there to do it will not work because you had to have existing vendors over the max to get the bug.

Screw them if they are annoyed by me. I will post my bugs and my bug threads.

Quit trying to defend the devs though. they are making with game worse everyday.

Ok I am done ranting now.

Please do not divert from my origionalpost though.

This is a bug that will go live and even though it is minor since most of us have to totally revamp our vendors anyway. IT IS STILL A BUG AND NEEDS ATTENTION.

I never said that you shouldn't do it! In fact, I think there *needs* to be a sandbox server like TC2 for general testing. But I don't know if the code on TC2 is the same as on TC. Everything there is optimized for the FS quests and nothing else.
