I have heard 250 items as a figure for the max items in a house. Most seem to agree this counts vendor items but some people claim to have far more than 250 items combined between their vendors and dropped in their house.

In my medium Tatooine house I have 127 items listed when I check status at the house management terminal. This total does not appear to count items in travel packs at least as I pulled up 4 travel packs one of which had 5+ items including 2 factory crates. In their place I dropped 2 unlocked containers and I didn't at this time put anything in the containers. However, the items listed in the house only went down to 125 after this. Later on I added two fish as decoration (these took 3 personal inventory slots each oddly) but only counted as 2 items to bring the total back to 127. From this it appears likely that factory crates dropped on a floor would be counted as one item as well even though they take 5 personal inventory slots (can anyone confirm?). I also eventually put some stuff into the unlocked containers and the item total was still 127.

I then totalled up the items on my three NPC vendors... one has 11, one 100, and the last has 21. Combined with the 127 items dropped in the house that's 259 items.

Let's see if we can get a thread started where people post their actual house/vendor stats and not "I've heard this" or a "dev/csr told me it works XYZ way."

Post how many items your house status says you've got, what size and style house you've got, how many and what type vendors you've got, and the number of items on each vendor. If you've got other interesting info like "I've got 200 factory crates on one vendor" which would obviously confirm that factory crates are counted as 1 item regardless of how many personal inventory slots they take. Especially good to know will be info from people that are at their item limit. Hopefully we can get this figured out exactly how this works because at this point I'm not sure anyone (even the devs) know.

I'll do some counting in the next day or so - ran into a huge problem myself the other day and had to pick up all my fish - love to decorate with them

Does anyone know if there are differences depending on type of house? I have a small style 1 floorplan 2 one.
