So I actually got a prompt to come up for custom ads today but now it says "Try something a little less obscene" every single time. Regardless of what I put in there. Just wanted to check and see if I was the only one. heck this could've started happening a week ago and it'd be news to me, I gave up on trying it.

Your not the only one I was getting the same message about obscene try something less. Dang I was hoping I could use it!

yay! well maybe they just want to fix it one piece at a time. so next time it will let us enter our msgs but it wont say them. and then the time after that it will work properly =P

I notice if you put a planet in the name it's always rejected as "obscene".

I usually can't include 'Equipment' or 'Wares' or 'Goods' when naming my Vendors, same with 'Supplies'. Stinks that the Custom Ad isn't allowing us to put anything in it that it likes. As of yesterday, I wasn't able to even get the prompt for a Custom Message.

lol I have a similar problem.
I was trying to name my vendor "JBS Inc. - Fine Tailors and More" and *BAM* ... obscene

so I changed it to "JBS Inc. Fine Tailors" and *BAM* ... obscene

anyway, this continued for about 5 or 6 tries until I finally came up with "Clothing here" .... it worked

After two days of fiddling I managed something with my brand name in it but my point is that this obscene filter is quite a bit out of hand. I have a specialty clothing store. Each room has something different and my vendor in each room identifies the contents of that room. Unfortunately, these obscenity filters prevent me from truly identifying them.

Oh and the custom ad barking still doesnt work for me.

In my experience with custom ads, ANY punctuation is obscene.. This is a problem and should be considered for a future list.. I was wondering why I couldnt write anything, and found out the problem was using punctuation.. how odd.. all of my customers will think im un-edumacated now
