This is a minor problem that there might be a solution to....
When i create my NPC vendor I want to give them a name and try to make them like a real person.
So say my shop name is Joe's Bait Shack. I then create an NPC and name her Suzy.
I place Suzy and then want to Adverstise on the Map...
Instead of Joe's Bait Shack, what appears is Suzy..
Shouldnt we have the option of editing or nameing our listing on the map?

I name all my Vendors as follows:
Vendor's Name (Business Name)
e.g. Dezark Lon (Angry Eopie Cantina)
You are right, although I believe the naming of NPC Vendors is important I don't think anyone out there really gives adam what your Vendor is called. They want, and they need, to identify with abusiness name, not NPC Vendor names.

I tried to do that as well. "Brenda (Mai Brand Formal Attire)" in several variations. Kept giving me a system message stating "Try something less obscene"
Even tried it by [Name]: [Store]. Obscene as well.
My other vendor I wanted to call "Wookiee Wear" was obscene. But "Wookie Wear" wasnt. Apperently a whole race is obscene.
I ended up just putting "Brenda selling Mai Brand Formal Attire" Not what I wanted but it would have to do.
