OK, so im new to the vendor issues, ive read the post that the vendor maintenance is on its way back in.

Now my question is, is it actually in the game now ? I have a vendor telling me i have 40days left, then it jumps to 40min, then sits on 44min.

Now its current needing 11cr to repair (which i place 1k in and it still asks for money to repair).. my maintenance rate is at a stupidly high price of 1300cr per 45min or whatever it is.

but, im sure you have heard and felt this yourselvses .. so should i be putting money into my vendor atm ?

There hasn't been any change. The droids and terminals use the very expensive value based maintenance fee that they always have. The NPC's have almost no maintenance.

If you dont have NPC vendors.. get everything out of vendor except 1 item.. and wait till u get NPC.

NPC cost 1 credit per day, and later cost 0.. ( bug )

Paying for a droid or box vendor.. is absolutely rediculous.

This just snaps me. I am looking at becoming a novice merchant just because of this issue.

Sounds weird, yes but here is my problem. I'm a doctor I make Stims to sell. I don't want to be a big merchant but I do want the option to have 1 vendor at my clinic where I can sell stims from. I got business 3 thinking this wouldbe good enough for a small clinic like mine.

Now, as a rule people want to buy stims from a crate, takes up less space in their inventory yada yada. Crates of stims run around 20-40k. I make maybe 2k of of each crate and sell maybe 2 or 3 a week (*I live on LOK)

Well guess what? 3 items in my vendor drives my maintenance rate up to well over 100!!! I dont know what that works out to but I think I would be losing 10k a week at that rate.

So whats the solution? Well I guess become a nove merchant so I can have an NPC. Now I dont want to do this but my options are limited. So now Im going to be a novice merchant and of course using all the benfits that I can and thus competing with all of you!!! Why Why Sony? Why charge so much for a simple ugly vendor.

I would consider letting a merchant place the vendor but then I have the problem of having to retrive the cash. . .

2 better solutions would be: 1) have it so that merchants can sell vendors. 2) have so that the vendors merchants place could be set to split the sales at whatever percentage the players felt fair. i.e. mechant places vendor sets crafter as admin so he can load vendor and set prices. Then sets fee of 10% so 10% goes to the merchant and 90% goes to the crafter. Master merchant could set the a large number of people as payees such as all the members of a guild. . . .

Your best bet at this point is to get a merchant to put a vendor in and work on a plan with them to handle the sales and split of the revenue. I agree that to do this most efficiently requres tools to allow the split to happen automatically. However I currently manage 6 vendors (4 of them Exclusively for a supplier like yourself) and we manage to split the money. It is a pain, there are misunderstandings and I spend way too much time tracking sales with an external database, but it does work. And it would relieve you of having to deal with it. Be prepared to give the merchant a fare shake on the profits though (probably in the area of 10-15% depending on how much traveling the merchant has to do to maintain the vendors)

Doc is 100% right, if you don't want to be a merchant, find someone who does. I have 6 vendors, I am sure I could find space on my vendors for your wears, just makes them a good deal, and they will do the rest, that is there job

Heh heh I live on LOK I doubt any merchant would want to come all the way out here for 1 vendor to restock it ever couple of days for 10 or even 20% of 2-10k. And even if I could restock it my self the vendor would have to come out to give me cash beacuse bank tiping 40-100k just cost too much at 5%.

However I bet a merchant would love to sell me a vendor for 100k? Not an option now but should be. Merchants not being able to sell vendors is like Architiects not being able to sell houses.

This class needs some serious work and upgrading.
