Thread: Implement a /accept command for monetary transfers, whether /tip or /banktip...

I run a handful of vendors on Lowca and thankfully I haven't been hit with the 'Ban-stick'. I take pride in running a legit business and have not abused the system in any way, shape, or form. The thing that -really- gets under my skin is that innocent players are being severely punished when someone else buys a few items from their vendor with tainted credits, or they get an annonymous /tip, or a random /banktip. WE DO NOT HAVE A WAY TO REJECT THESE MONEY TRANSFERS, so what in the name of Yoda are we supposed to do to combat the random /tip, or the selling of items on our vendors, or any of the other various ways that we might get hit with the plague in which we cannot defend ourselves? Yes, I could take down the 700+ items on my vendors, but where would I store them? There's still that d*mned city zoning bug or whatever so the Mayor of our town will have to give me 24 hours permission to throw down more houses.. but my lots are all used up right now on resource mining (uber shifts of WS resources).. so yes, a lot of us are in a pickle right now. I haven't been banned because I flat out don't cheat, plain and simple, BUT there are plenty of others who don't cheat either, but thanks to a random /banktip or vendor sale they're suspended or banned.. we can't defend ourselves from either, or have any way to discern the good money from the bad. At least IRL we could feel the thickness and texture of the bills, hold them up to the light, etc.. but on here we're borderline screwed.


DocSavage if you're reading this then please at least consider sending a plea to 'upper management' requesting a /reject command so that we might defend ourselves against these idiots running around throwing credits at everyone they come across. I realize that this won't help in certain situations, like when a starport Doc gets a 15k tip to buff someone.. but this really would help those of us who aren't banned remain that way. Or perhaps only allow the /reject feature to materialize if the amount if 25k or higher.. heck, something, -anything- would be a step in the right direction. Also, on Banktips I think that there should be a something like this:


Player A banktips 375k to Player B

The money hangs in limbo so that player A doesn't accidentially spend any of that 375k while waiting on Player B to accept the transaction.

Player B then has 24 hours to accept or reject the transaction (notified via InGame mail) or the money hanging in limbo gets deposited back in Player A's account.


Just a few random ideas to help protect us from the cheaters...

Ironically, this could also put a damper to afk-botting.


Pretty simple solution to implement I would think - although I'm not a programmer.

Have it be something that can be turned on and off in your master control panel, as to whether you get a message or not. Then it can be used, or not used, as a personal preference.
