I have missed the answer to this qustion
Do items in bags count towards item limit? As an AS most of my sales are done through bags, it wont really affect me all that much with master merchant since I have recently scaled back my armor production (to much time in game not enough sunlight) but I know alot of AS that this will affect alot, namely ones without master merchant.
ok now for sleep since its late/early for me

As of now, bags count as one item, regardless of how much is in said bags.

I doubt that it will change from being counted as One (1) Item either. Here's my reasoning.
If they change it so that the contents count towards the item count then the Dev's would ALSO have to alter the coding on the public bazaar.
Seeing how they just upgraded the "backend" of the commerce database/bazaar, I doubt they want to screw with anymore (and break it again now that it works).
Any negative changes to the public bazaar is apparent to the ENTIRE playerbase, as opposed to merchant nerfs that only a small percentage know about.
Just my 2 cents.
Cheers

I suspect they will change it but I doubt the changes will make it to publish 10.

I hope you are right, Doc. Because 4k bags is a bit much to be able to put on a vendor.
With the new limits it would be perfectly reasonable to say that a suit of composite armor in a backpack is 10 items. It wouldn't hurt the regular crafter one bit.

Ok... so long as we're on questions I'm sure have been asked:
I had Master Merchant at one time. I now have 5 vendors up and running at full steam. But I've since dropped down to Novice Merchant, which allows only 2 vendors at present.
What will happen at publish 10 to my vendors? Do I lose 3 random ones and everything in them? Are the grandfathered in?
Basically I'm a Master Architect with around 1500 items on vendors. Should I start pulling them off and stuffing houses?
Thank you, and I apologize if this has been asked and answered 500 times.

I expect that to come down the pike at some point as well, we already beat that change off once.
There are far more good reasons to leave it from the player's point of view than take it away - necessary storage being only one of them.
Some trades this is very convienent for. Selling suits of armor, selling full runs of components, special orders for a particular person, collections of anything you wish to sell as a set. They tried to use 'scamming' as the reasoning they wanted to do it the first time, but to this day I think it was probably in preperation for what we are getting now.
Personally - I'd have zero problem with that IF they addressed the functionality players legitimately have a need for BEFORE they did it.
Give us some sort of sales package that could hold say 10 or 20 items, and viewable within.
Give us some mechanism to get special orders to the right person without danger of it getting gone before that person got there.
Let components crates at least stack to full run size - and give us some method of dispense them from the container on the vendor either in specified amounts - or by the full crate.
Do something with the resource system/crafting system so that either such massive quanities weren't needed or up the size of resource containers - or both. Getting rid of the serial number requirement being identical in factory runs of subcomponents would also be most helpful. That's not impossible, there are a few things that do NOT require identical crates.
Let anything looted stack withlike itemsthat there is no need thru special attributes to be different stack.

All your vendors will remain. You will not be able to post anything for sale on a vendor until you are within limits for the number of vendors and number of items to which you are entitled according to your current merchant level.
