Well I had written a much longer and much more elegant post, but through a horrible mistake by someone who shall remain nameless, it was lost. So I don't feel like rewriting it so here comes the bare bones version.

With the new changes in survey missions and venders fees coming, I do not feel that I (the casual gamer) will be able to pursue this path. The added time it will take me to gather enough money to pay for my machines, house, vendors, occasional resource purchases, and soon to be clothing factory, and whatever other fees, my progress up the tailor tree will be nearly stopped. If these changes are being made because you all feel that some players have way too much money, then stop it now. The people you think have too much money ALWAYS will have more money than casual gamers and other who (surprise surprise) log less hours than they do. I personally have no problem with that, they play more, they should have more. Its the way it has been and the way it will always be. If you slow down the rate at which money can be made you will only be hurting the people who play less, not really affecting the professional gamers in any way. The economy will have less coming into it, so the people with a lot of money will only become even WEALTHIER. Deflation is as bad as inflation, and often worse, to an economy. In addition, if you make it so the more casual gamer cannot viably play a crafter (at least tailor in my experience) then that means there will be less of us...which means an oligarchy of professional crafter players will arise. Creating an even bigger gap.

In short, I was attracted to star wars galaxies because of the crafting classes. I have been having fun, but if things go as I see them going I will soon be unable to maintain my crafter, as the pace of progression will be so slow as to not be worth it. Having also a combat character, I can say that combat characters advance at a much faster rate than crafters. As they don't have to collect resources, run missions to get money to pay for their constant costs, run around taking care of their machines, selling stuff in towns, and everything else a crafter does. I'm not saying combat characters are easy to advance, just comparitively faster than crafters (at least those without financial backing, which is hard to get as a casual gamer). I had thought it was your company's intent to balance experience so that every profession would take more or less the same time to master. These upcoming changes seem to be changing this from a logistical standpoint.

If I am forced out of business and back to combat, I am sure I will become bored of the constant killing very quickly (as I have with other online games) and will probably just cancel my account. I've been having a good time so far, please don't ruin it for me.

I agree, I hope they use a tax on sold items, and/or a small charge for the use of each vendor.
