Thread: All As about face
I cant help but think that Sony are looking at things the wrong way around. I dont know about anyone else but I really need a way to get people into shop to buy items instead of buying from the global market. When I consider the amount of cash that goes into the raw materials alone plus overheads of shop and vendors I simply am not selling enough items to make a profit currenlty.
At best I sell maybe 3,000 a day but it is mostly likely it has cost my 3,000 just to produce the items.
Instead of increasing vendor costs which makes the whole matter worst what we really need is a way to reduce the power of city markets. I know they have a 3,000 limit on items but heck if you cost in the shop and vendor prices even selling some items at a much reduced price of 3,000 is cheaper than having you own shop leaking money due to high costs.
What we need is a tax on items on the city market, say 10% of the value on items in the market goes to the city where player shops are charged 2 %.
Lets face it we do need more money sinks but heck who does Sony think has all this money its not the Merchants. I can earn 100k in 5 hours doing imperial missions but as a tailor I have not got that much from selling clothes in the whole 4 weeks I have been playing.
What we need is to get more people in player shops and get the people spending more money. The problem is not the amount of money people have but the distrubition of cash.
Combat = RICH
Crafting = POOR
1. Their needs to be a higher cost in using city markets to make players more willing to travel to player shops.
2. Items need to wear out and those that do currently need to wear out more often. As a guide I would suggest items should wear out very quickly when people are in combat. As people doing missions are more likley to have money its only right they should need to buy more.
3. Stronger Requirements for items, people generally only need 1 house ever so we are getting to a point when nobody will need a house anymore, for an ecomony and a trade to work their has to be a demand for the items. So we need to make a requirement in game for items so they people will need to buy new houses. I dont see why they should not over time decay.
