Thread: Suggestion: Premium Auctions
Well, as far as I understand, premium auctions just lists your auction first in the bazaar, and puts a * next to it, correct? How about completely changing what Premium Auction does to actually make it usefull. Here's my idea - I get just *sick and tired* of running around to player vendors trying to find one that actually has what I want. Currently, there is no way to find a vendor that has what you want in stock. So how about this, the premium auction could be re-coded so that it allows players to list stuff that is for sale on their private vendor, on the public bazaar terminals. I could find what I want, pay for it at the bazaar terminal, and get an email with a waypoint to the vendor to pick it up. Would help me as a customer, would help you guys as merchants to advertise your wares and get more business. And would make premium auctions (and the skill to go with it) genuinely usefull.
Well, just an idea anyhow. . .
It's an excellent suggestion - and one I've put forward more than once. Back in beta - private sales DID show up on bazaars.
On the public terminals - those are rather useless.
Another idea might be to have a seperate terminal system or a tab for these things - I'd MUCH rather list a few select items on my vendors as premium sales so they show up as advertising to get folks into the shop than list on an overcrowded map that is of marginal use at best due to the number of empty vendors in the world.
As a goldsink - I believe this would suck more money out of the economy as well - vs. the slight boost to cost on the vendor being on the map.
On the map - I'd like an option with checkboxes on my building - one listing that would show up in the various categories, but the same waypoint.
The fact that the bazaar even exists is a slap to the already grieved merchant class.
I don't get free meat from Ranger/Fighters! I don't get free food from Chefs, but SOE provides a relatively free service to all the characters who do not get merchant.
