Hope people enjoy visiting vendor after vendor and finding little worth buying.

Question: Why is this being thrown at us now? Why the sudden urge to reign instorage? I don't buy that its database related. This is SONY! If anyone can handle large databases its SONY. This move has nothing to do with how many items we have on legitimate vendors. It's how many itemsa few playershave onstorage vendors. This sudden move by SOE is inexplicably tied to the upcomming JTL expansion. My gut tells me thatpeople have been hording large amounts of resources in an attempt to get a step up on mass-producing ships. I thought of this a few months back myself but failed to act because I'm one person that does not intend on becoming a shipwright.

People have been dumping $14.99 per monthat Sonyfor over ayear now. Continuing to renew subsriptionsbasedon false promisses which are delayed time and again with little or no explaniation.

I've tried to be objective when looking at thislatest attempt onSony to reign in a tiny percentage of its player base. But screw that, again the masses suffer at the hands ofa tiny minority.Total BS.

If it's an attempt to punish crafters that have worked hard and aresuper successful it will ultimatley backfire. Theplayer base will become further disinfranchised and cancellingsubscriptions will be the new FOTM.

Please feel free to opine!

I have worked super hard on making quality items to put on the vendors.. I have been saving resources for JTL. I believe the vendor limit is a database related move.. Why?.. Think about it.. The devs announced a "old account" purge for October... Gee, that's the same month JTL might be released.. Now, they are limiting the amount of items we can have on our vendors. This is clearly a move to restrict the amount of items we own. Because, if this nerf goes live, we wont be able to make large volumes of product, thus, reducing the database to allow more subscribers...

To the developers.... Why allow us the ability to make hundreds of different items and component but, restrict our ability to store them? My character is a Master Architect, Master Artisan, Master Chef.. If I crafted every single item I can make, that would add up to about 320 items... If I just used my house, safety deposit box, and inventory, I would barely be able to store them...and that's just 1 of each item I can craft...

yes i agree. for the most part the devs in this game bust their asses trying to deliver a solid product. but how long can we continue to fund this endevour when they continue to let us down time and time again?

SWG shipped 2 monthstoo early. I got sick of running everywhere and cancelled my acct afterthe first month. JTL should not be shipped before the ground game is sound, which means retooling several professions and finally delivering on the combat fixes.

I'm reading the main economic argument is that"it's hard to compete with all these old school crafters." Hell ya it is, these guys have been around for overa year. They should be the biggest thing out there. The economy as it stands now is a free market. these imposed vendor changes sound more like communism than a free market. I started my main character just before x-mas,and this crafter in early march. I spent the first few months collecting resources and buying the best of server stuff a little here and there. I busted my ass marketing my shop. No I am competing with the so-called 'old school crafters' and making a nice little profit for all my efforts. So to those crafters that are whinning about not being able to compete.. pull up your virtual bootstraps, suck it up and get to work.

and yes, the suits are an easy scapegoat! down with the suits!

Quick note: This is Sony, and SONY owns EQ.... not Star Wars... From what I've seen this is just Sony's way of exploiting the franchise with as little cost as possible so they can fund their "more important" projects. I don't blame the devs, cuz our devs are here to do SWG, but they really don't call the shots, they just bring the bad news. I blame the suits that tell the devs how much of the SWG money will actually make it back to developing SWG... you sure as heck know that the 4 something million per month isn't all going back to the game it came from. If it were, this game would be in much better shape....
