Further to the annoying customers thread, do any of you find that wearing your merchant tag invites all kinds of stupid requests?

I'm master marksman, novice weaponsmithand master merchant, marksman never caused me any trouble but master merchant (as opposed to manager, entrepeneur etc) just seems to attract the kind of idiots that want free goods and credits.

I had this outside bestine starport:

(runs up to me) 'tip me 60k'

Why?

'I need you totip me 60k'

That's a lot why do you want it?

'Will you tip me or not?'

Can't you earn it via missions like everyone else?

'No I want the money now, you can afford it'

(walk away)

'Give me your armour then'

Wait until you master Weaponsmith. This is the kind of stuff you will get and why I never fly any tag.

I wear master merchant instead of master armorsmith or master artisan because I like the difference in the tells I receive.

I don't like the armor repair requests. Nor the "make me a swoop NOW!!" requests when all I have on me is my expensive AS resources. And "You're greedy" for not charging someone 12k for a swoop made out of 20 cpu resources.

My alt is a merchant and when I have him logged in I have problems

As a rebel it causes me alot of grief becuase all the overt imperials try to gunt me down because of my ub3r leet template. When I see them I have to place my "master politicaon" tag on so they run away in fear because they know the will be pwned.

Me: "It doesnt work that way you have to set up your own vendor"

RP: "Why?"

Me: "Because only the person who owns the vendor can use it."

RP: "Oh ok, i'll just give you the items and you can put them on."

Me: "No thanks."

RP: "Come on, why not."

Me: "Because I don't want to have to go restockthe vendor at your will."

RP: "But I only put stuff on it like once a day and I live on corellia."

Me: "I live on Lok."

RP: "Fine, just make me a vendor and trade it to me."

Me: /sigh "It doesnt work that way either."

RP: "You just to lazy to help me, if you wont help me just say so and stop making excuses."

Me: "Ok, Im not going to help you."

RP: "I'll give you 1000 credits"
