big problem.. ok i first started merchant a couple weeks ago and when i posted item it gave a 10% posting charge or somethin.. so i waited out master merchant before i started really putting items on teh vendors.. so i get master merchant and the little charge is gone when i post! yay im real happy and all..
so a few days later i pick up architect and after a few hours of grind i need some skill points and after some thought i drop master artisan.. I get an email saying someone bought a swoop from me at 30080 creds. Hmm, i posted those on there for 28000... and sure enough i stop by my vendor and the posting charge has returned!! DO I HAVE TO HAVE MERCHANT AND ARTISAN MASTERED JUST FOR THIS TO GO AWAY?!
btw the vendor is located in an improved job market

I think that charge comes from a city tax, not from posting charge.

There is no charge for posting on your own vendors. You must be in a city and the mayor is playing with sales tax.
For instance my town has a 2% sales tax. When I post something for 500 credits, the buyer sees it for sale for 510 credits. So lucky for us, the buyer pays the sales tax.
When you use the bazaar you will see a listing fee, something like 20credits for master merchant, I think it is higher if you don't have merchant skills.

k, ill have to talk to the mayor
so, thinking about it more, its just coincidence that the charge disappeared with master merchant? and reappeared at dropping master artisan?
hmm

Yes, that's a coincidence IMHO.

Sales taxes is aplied to the price the moment you put it up on the Vendor. Its paid once someone buys it. If the Tax is changed the price doesn't unless its relisted
First example:
Sale tax: 10%
Put something up for 10k
Shows on the vendor for 11k
Sale tax changed to 0%
Still shows up as 11k on your vendor (I think all 11k would go to your purse once someone buys)
Secong Example:
Sale Tax: 0%:
Put up something for 11k, shows for 11k.
Tax changed to: 10%
Still shows up for 11k. Someone buys it, 10k go to you, 1k to the city
So perhaps there was a sales tax up in the beginning you put the item there for 28k, it got listed for 30.8k (+10%). Then the city tax was droped and everything you sold since then was sold without tax.
Then someone bought this old item (after you droped artisan) which was still listed for 30800
