Thread: Structures with vendors cannot be private

As of one of the last patches structures with vendors cannot be set to private.

I do not know the background for this, but this takes away one of the very few ways of restricting access to vendors. Setting a small house with a vendor to private, then adding a customer to the entry list was a workaround for the total lack of customer reservation for, say, a house on a vendor.

Setting a house private and then entering Guild:guildtag on the entry list was a way to restrict buildings to guild only.

We are now forced to keep a building public if it contains one or more vendors.

The best workaround I have come up with is setting an entry fee to 1 million credits and using the entry list to bypass it.

This would have been workable, but now it seems the Guild:guildtag entry no longer works. I had the tag in the entry list, yet people in my guild were asked for entry fee until added specifically.

Was there a change to the Guild:guildtag entry ?

There must be a way to enter the entire guild without entering them one by one. Some guild have 100s of members and the entering and removing of 1 name at a time is totally unworkable.

We use a small house with vendors, restricted to guild only as a combination resource sharing central and post office, leaving items for guildies to pick up without having to hook up in person, and without risking the item being snagged off a public vendor.
