Okay after great hounding, I have some info that the DEVS have okayed me to share!!!!!
1. Please fix the need for reset of the Ad Bark and Ad Global Map every day.
GreenMarine: Done. For next publish.
3. Change the 7 day timer on vendors to 30 days.
GreenMarine: Kirk is changing the 7 day limit to 30 days for vendors right now. That will all be in the next publish patch. We start processing that patch tomorrow.

That sounds like a challenge...LOL
Maybe it is :-P heheh I bet Margie doesn't like us fighting like this :-P
So, what about the expiration of items in the stockroom? Is that still just 3 days?
I suspect that if people get lazy about reselling their expired products after 30 days, then a lot of people will be suprised to find that their stockroom has a very short lifespan and many of their precious items will already be deleted by the time they get around to reselling their expired goods.
On the other hand, if it did not sell after 30 days, perhaps its best if it gets deleted anyway! Maybe the merchant profession as a whole will just not bother to resell items that expire, since it may not be worth the effort. Certainly, a cluttered vendor is a turn-off to most buyers. So, if it doesn't sell in 30 days, its just clutter!
But, the stockroom on the vendors does need some attention, in my opinion. At the very least, a rename. perhaps call it, "Temp Storage". And, it would be nice if I could stick stuff directly into the stockroom. And, also, maybe a checkbox to turn off the email system for sales and expirations.
Stockroom expiration won't change this time around. I vote to rename it the "Black Hole."
At 30 days, the listing timeout becomes more of a tool for me, that is what I plan to use it as. Most things that don't sell after that long, they'll probably get deleted.
The devs didn't intend vendors to be used as storage, hence we have expiration.
Before you guys go out and buy the champagne, there is one issue right now with vendors that can put a lot of us out of commision.
Once items expire after seven days, you cannot(well I cannot) GET THEM OUT OF STOCKROOM.
have over 300 inside stockroom, and about to start loosing all my weapons, or as expressed by a csr, I can relog 300 times to get them out or back for sale.
OK, about this 30 day thing. I assume that means 30 days of listing time before an item expires to the stockroom, correct? If so that helps somewhat. Though I wish the stockroom itself could be fixed. I am getting Item deletions from the stockroom in under 24 hours. I see the emails from the day or two before and the items are gone. I had a CSR that replaced 5 out of about 100 lost deeds (most were personal harvesters). But I had to fight for it. The conversation went something like this.
CSR: You had an issue with deletions. are you free to talk?
ME: Yes thank god, it's been days and two deleted tickets to get to talk to someone.
CSR: well what happened.
ME: I had a vendor deleted with about 300k of deeds on him, I had a bunch of items in my stockroom that I was just going to relist from yesterday and they are gone in less than 24 hours when they are supposed to stay 72, and I had 4 Mineral Installations on someone elses vendor that weren't picked up, didn't get an email for, aren't on the vendor, but show up on the bazaar as available items.
CSR: There is a bug with stock rooms at the moment. I suggest not using them. Unfortunately since we can't verify items that were there, I am unable to replace any thing lost in that way.
ME: Its kind of hard not to use the stockroom....
CSR: As I said it is bugged, but we are working on a fix for it soon. Until it is repaired we recomend not using it.
ME: No, you don't understand. Idon't use it. Your system does it automatically. I can't logon to the game everyday to check my vendors. That's why I pay maintenence to them. In order for me to NOT use the stockroom I would have to log in constantly to check my vendors. If I don't then I lose 10% of my stock per day because the items are placed there automatically. I can't run a buisness where I take a 10% loss everyday.
ME: Are you then suggesting then that I drop my Merchant skills? because without being able to log in everyday I can't run a store this way.
CSR: Give me a list of what Items have you lost?
ME: Total from all three problems....1 Large Tatooine House, 1 Medium Naboo house, 1 Food Factory, 1 Wearables Factory, 1 Equipment Factory, 3 Solar Generators, 6 Mineral Mining Installations, 2 Weapon Crafting Stations, 1 Structure Crafting station, 30 Various pieces of Tier 1 and 2 Furniture, 20 Mineral Harvesters, 20 Moisture vaporators, 1 Personal Chem Harvester, 5 Personal Gas Harvesters, 10 Food Harvesters, and about 10 pieces of crappyContainer loot weapons (CDEF rifles, clothing, Melee weapons and the like)
(I get an update email on CSR ticket with chat log, apparently in case he gets disconnected or has a client crash)
CSR: Hmmm, I can help a little to offset your trouble as a one time good faith gesture.... I can replace 5 of the items off that list.
/me is fuming but 5 is better than none.
ME: Well, that's a no brainer, the ones that took the most resources to make. The large house, the medium house, and 3 of the Medium Mineral Harvesters
/me has a brain fart and forgets how much factories take to make... Doh!
CSR: Ok, He(other CSR) will replace the items for you because I am bugged and cant trade.
/me thinks Oh, Wonderfull. the CSRs are bugged too.....
CSR: Check your Inventory now. Is that correct?
ME: Uh, those 3 Personal Harvesters are supposed to be Mineral Mining Installations....
(all confidence is lost at this point, you know that chat window can be resized and also scrolls up buddy...)
CSR: Sorry about that, How about now?
ME: Yes that seems to be right...
CSR: ok, is there anything else I can help you with?
ME: Just stress to the Dev team how much of a pain this issue is so they will make it a priority fix before we go broke from lost stock.
CSR: I will add you to the list of people experiencing stockroom issues.
Me: Well thanks, for helping with what you could.
CSR: Please delete the ticketby going to the Holocron (Ctrl+H) and clicking on Customer service.
(I did say up front I sent in multiple tickets....Does he think I am incapable of finding it on my own orHave I been talking to a macro all this time?)
/me Relists the items I DO have, and then realize I asked for the 3 Mineral Installations instead of the Factories.
/me wonders how much force it would take to get my mouse to go through my monitor and the wall behind it.
/me logs out and plays Jedi Academy for 2 days on my vacation instead of SWG.
Well at least I find few people that know what I am talking about, I have since put another vendor next to my primary one, but I now have very little to sell, 3 plus weeks of my game time have been deleted in few minutes, and the CSr's I have talked to dont know that the problem exists, in their mind we are making this up.
Yeah that 30 days instead of 7 days helps out a lot, but can we also get a time remaining column in there as well (i.e. bazaar). I would like to get a headstart when hundreds of my items start sending me emails about my 30 day period running out, but hey its a good start. One more thing, what do you guys think about increasing the amount of items on sale in the bazaar as you move up one of the branches in merchant (i.e. efficiency). Right now I am making approximately 4-7 sales a day and I constantly have to run back and fill the items that people have bought. I am working on my vendor but people are not visiting.
