Any response from Q in the last 28 pages? Why does this feel lik eyet another example of where they claim to ask for feedback, everyone tells them it is the worst idea they have heard to date...and then it goes live anyways. I have over 400 items on my vendors ranging from 500-15000 credits, this absurd idea will kill crafting, end of story. There are several better suggestions on how to take away money from crafters in the last 30 pages but I have my doubts that they are being considered or even read. Anyways, just in case the devs have missed what has been posted for 30 pages, This idea is makes the melon nerf look like a stroke of pure brilliance.

This is one of the biggest moronic ideas to date. With all the other bugs and things that need to be fixed why in God's green earth would you think of cutting the throat of anyone who owns a vendor? This really has me stumped to why anyone would consider doing that. You can go bankrupt in vendor fees. I am an armorsmith and have to make an ungodly amount of armor just to advance one skill. I have tons of armor sitting on my vendor waiting to be sold. Because you placed such high limits and such little exp gained per craft I have nearly 20 armor suits sitting on my vendor. Its not like I dont have customers, I do. But because the number of armor I have to make to advance it leaves me with more inventory than I am selling.

This change would cause me tens of thousands of dollars in vendor fees. Not to mention what it will do to someone trying to start out with no money. For God Sakes do not do this. Keep it the way it is and fix the other bugs. Bugs like the one that has been keeping my friend from connection to the game. Or bugs in just about every elite profession. You have more important stuff to fix leave this alone.!

I say the best possible thing would be a small maintenace fee to maintain the vendor and then a % taken at every sale. That way people don't get hurt bad by wasting money for vendors no one ever visits.

This is what I would suggest. Make a flat basic fee that's reasonable, then charge an additional fee per sale. That way you are still getting our credits for having a vendor, but professions with less revenue and that require MORE variety don't get penalized.

For instance. I am a tailor. I stock at least 300k in items on my vendors, but I don't make many sales a day. Most sales I do make are people who see items on my vendors and then ask me to make a custom color for them. Yet, under your system I would be penalized to have that variety for customers.

Under this system, I am still paying a daily fee that's reasonable, and if I sell a high end item, then I would pay a high end commission, which I have zero problem with. I am willing to pay more vendor fees if I am justifying it by bringing more money in.

Having a flat rate for the venders per week would be the best option in my opinion...not based on the value of the inventory..maybe a tax on what they sell..not what they store..do you know of any department store that is charged a fee for storeing their own merchandise in their own building?..If you do what you are suggesting with this it will force a lot of artisans out of buisness..frankly..I for one don't want to have to continously grind missions for cash to be able to buy 100k FGW5 pistol..or listen to people spamshouting there wares all the time buy the banks...or you would have things priced so cheap that the credit will deflate because the artisans cant afford to sell high ticket items on their venders.

One of the many aspects of this game that I enjoy MUCH more than EQ is the fact that I don't have to spend hours upon hours farming for 100 credits like you have to farm for platinumin EQ if you don't want to pick up a tradeskill....I want to have FUN with the game..not come home from work and then have to go to work again. You do this and it will be just like farming plat on EQ. Ya'll already nerfed the missions...making the payouts less..which is cool...give the ecomony time to level off from that first...then see what happens.

stThats rediculous to raise fees on vendor. Theres lots a things need fixing then Nerfing the vendor. All you do is make people get rid of vendors. You need to increase Lots so u won't hqve a problam with people using vendors for storage.

Wow, 30 pages and still going....i hope the message is clear to you Devs, this will just not be an acceptable fix. I do not believe it is a money sink they are looking for, if so merchant classes are the last place they need to be looking. Combat classes have far more money than any merchant class, they make thousands if not hundreds of thousands of credits daily. I barely keep afloat, once you figure in all the current maintenance and upgrading of harvesters i really struggle. I consider myself moderately successfull too, i have better than 60 repeat customers, and make up to 80k on a good day, but some days there are no sales what so ever. I have maintence costs of around 25k a day right now, so it take me a week or 2 to manage to upgrade one harvester. I feel like current maintenance is adequate to keep non-master crafters in check. Once we reach our goals of master in our chosen proffession, aquiring money is our next goal. Why should there be more ways of taking it out of crafter/merchants hands. All money originates from missions, there for, thats where you should be looking for cash sinks. Sales taxes are one way to go, but if you charge the crafter, you need to charge the buyers as well. The bazaar should suffer the same fate, why would we spend skill points to get more costs associated with doing our business. What is the end game goal of a pure crafter? To me, it is to satisfy my customers demand for selection and quality, but aquiring wealth would also be nice. Isn't that the point of business, is to make money. What ever you do, it needs to be POS(point of sale) not taxed off of value or how much money you all ready have, tax your income not your savings.

If it is like we all suspect, you are trying to lessen the server load, then just move getting a vendor from basic business line to the merchant line. That will stop alot of the storage issues. Upgrade server capabilities, we are paying for the service. You advertised the game so that we would be able to display items in our homes, shops, whatever...well thats what we are doing. If your hardware can not handle the load, then fix it. Why demand that we get less and less from this game. All we ask, is you to fix the issues at hand. Then go back and see what balance needs to be done. Are we asking for too much, if so tell us, so we can move on to a game that meets our needs. Playing in a bugged enviroment, where the only fixes that are ever done are to make things worse rather than better is not what we bargained for. Please, make this game great like you advertised it. The potential is there, you just need to shift focus.

This bug i am posting every where i make a reply, fix the armorsmith/tailor bug. Now that i am a master tailor and almost master armorsmith, i can not make anything that requires a crafting station. The only work around i have heard of is too go the the /draftSchematic routine, frankly with over 300 items to craft, making a comprehensive list would be very time consuming...haven't i as a master craftsman all ready invested enough time in my craft to be able to expect to be able to craft the items i have worked for. I just emailed all my repeat customers, and told them i was closing shop, because of vendor/factory/schematic bugs. It is a sad day for me, because of all the time i have spent getting the clientelle built up, i have just lost because you ignore the bugs in your game, and fixate on things that are not important. Too much money in the game is not going to cause you to loose customers, or cause people not to enjoy themselves. However, a lack of product for people to buy is going to cause people to leave the game. Without high end weapons, armor, clothing, and so on, people will just not see the point to continue. I for one am to that point. If you do not fix the armorsmith/tailor bug quickly, i will cancel both of my accounts. Why should i pay you, if i can not do anything. Also, if you implement this proposed maintenance cost, you will again run people out of business, or cause continual spamming in towns...both of which will run people away from the game.

So, in short, get your priorities straight. Which as far as your customers are concerned is to give us our monies worth. Fix the bugs you have now, before you start causing new ones.

Thanks for listening, if you do happen to read page 30 of this topic.

What stumps me is why do we even need to pay Vendor fees in the first place? And why do we need to pay the bank 5% when tipping? Its just stupid. Its not going to any real person. The money is just going Poof! If you qualify for a vendor you should get one. No reason to have to pay money for the use of one. Do Fighters have to pay money to go kill something? Why should merchants have to pay money to use their profession? Why have vendor fees? Why have bank fees? Why have a game that sets the all time record for bugs? Fix some that effect gameplay not to make people go broke and force them to do destroy missions or other boring missions all day. If I earned the right to have a vendor and I craft then let me do my chosen profession without the Man taxing me to death on top of it. As I said fighters dont have to pay a fee for every animal or NPC they kill so why should merchants have to pay? They make money just like merchants do.. But they do it by killing things. Should we tax every fighting skill in the game and have a credit per day for everything they kill? You killed 100 things today. You owe the server 5000 credits to the Poof money fund.

If this changes I will be certain to cancel my account. Putting up with these bugs are bad enough. I have not made thousands of armor parts to have my throat cut by imaginary server taxation. Get a brain and fix the **edit** bugs that need fixing.

This is so stupid.. I looked at all the armor on my vendor to see how much I would have to pay my vendor a day to keep. First off I have to make so much armor just to level its stupid. Second I am not overpriced and have been selling armor well. Third I cannot sell as much as I need to make to level up. It has to go somewhere and I am not going to practice 35% blast 25% effective padded armor. I dont pay hunters, tailors, harvestors, factories, waste my time walking and traveling to and from place to place to get resources to poof my items in a practice. You have decided I must make say 30 armor suits to advance and now I have to pay daily to keep the items for sale? What a joke. You going to charge me for every creature I kill to? Why not? You charge merchants to use their skill level bonus why not charge my carbine skill for killing that mummer thug? I used my carbine skill to kill him just like my vendor skill to sell..

Fee's period are stupid. It goes to nobody. You make us pay taxes on the skill level we advanced to but only merchants. Thats BS. Here is the kicker.

According to what I have on my vendor at this moment I would owe:

A wopping $23582 credits a day to the server Skill penalty Poof Fund. Yeah and the next day another $23582, and so on. If I didnt sell anything for 4 days I would be out nearly 100k just to use my merchant skill. Boy that makes me want to get merchant so bad.. I cant wait till I earn merchant exp then get charged 165k a week to use my skill.. Great thinking SWG... Your all so smart.

As you can tell I am upset about this. I doubt anyone even reads the 30th page so this venting just makes me feel better. If they do this I will quit swg and I am sure many others will too. You will destroy business/merchant tree and subvert the whole player economy. Heed the warning of the 30 pages and fix other bugs that need fixing. NOT THIS!

I beleive two things

1. They see the size of the MONSTER that they released and are trying to find a way out

2. That the Money Sink was a cover for the Database Problem

Untill I hear a good reason why they think cost if items/1000 = 45min cost to list

I can not see any other reason...because over the last few days I have seen how many people this action would drive out of normal game mechanics ...and do bussiness with /shout in the town square...including me.

Raising a fee/tax makes the market go where the fee is not...this is a true statment unless the fee is fair.

.50 a gallon tax on gas is fair because we pay it in the US atm...10.00 per gallon would be unfair and we would not paid it....hoarding/smuggling/riots/lettters/protest would happen...well this thread looks like a protest to me

I have shut down my shops vendors till this gets sorted out....I can not wait till we see how the DEV get out of this one

Great game dispite all the issues

stHaha, this is a Penalty to th True Merchant class, those that buy and sell. Particularly at lower levels, a merchant buying things for them and charging hugely increased rates, will pay the price. An end to profits!!!!!

For example I bought an e11 for 2000 one time and sold it for 11k, was great, everyone was happy, but I would pay 11k or 200 a day that it doesnt move, for that ONE item. A Merchant with 50 perhaps, that is will pay 10,000 a day nothing moves.
