Thread: Current Merchant Issues List

I am NOT STEALING any tools I just used what I needed and now that I do not need them then is no reason to keep them. The create vendor and customise vendor asre the tools not OPERATE vendor. I have no hatred for any profession I can do everything I actually need to do with a Coke machine vendor, why should I make my customers life difficult by having them search through 300 items on an unattractive vendor when they can check a 1 page listing on 3 separate vendors that are labeled to what they sell.
Definition -- Tool :
A device use to perform or facilitate work
- One whose occupation is the wholesale purchase and retail sale of goods for profit.
- One who runs a retail business; a shopkeeper
Sorry MormiHalba but the vendors are the merchant's tools thatare specific to their class.
Now don't get me wrong, I dont care that you gave up the ability to dress your vendor (since you cant re-dress the vendor if you dont have the skill). But Ad barking, Map registration, and most importantly number of vendors should require you to keep those skills. I'm sure you'll ask why, so here's the answer -- because these abilities are constantly being used. If I use your arguement -- then all ex-doctors should still be able to buff and rezz; all ex-commandos should still be able to flamecone 2; all ex-weaponsmith would still be able to craft any weapon. To keep the game fair for those that choose to be Master Merchants; they, and they alone, should have exclusive rights to whats in their skill tree.

7. Playing 'Vendor Roulette' trying to find the perfect vendor is quite the pain! This has been something i've wanted since getting master merchant oh-so-long ago.
I would also really like to see some special items for merchants to use to decorate shops, as well as special features such as music in tents, cantinas, and malls (if they're added).

If I as a master Smuggler / Art (loot) dealer am forced to choose between a singlecoke machine vendor or feeding money to someone that has the RL funds to have an ALT chac. My comment will be goodbye SOE hello Blizzard and World of Warcraft.
The in game mechanics would have to have a dramatic change in the way items are bought and sold before removing LEGIMATE vendors without notice could be justified. I still stand by the opinion that PLACE vendor is the tool not operate because if you your this theory only surveyors should be able to operate heavy harvesters only those with survey skills should be able to operate and sort of harvester with the size and efficiency only available as you go up the survey tree.
Good bye! Good Luck! Don't let the door hit your A$$ on the way out! We don't need any more exploiters!
Thankfully SOE had decided that anyone, even you, can place harvesters, because they are goods made by Architects for the benefit of the userbase at large, just like armor and weapons. The strategic advantage that Surveryors are that they know the best location to set them down to get the best concentrations of raw materials.
I'm glad you realize its your opinion only, as its not my opinion, the vast majority of Merchants' opinions, and most impotantly, SOE's opinion.
You don't have to cancel the open box, position it so you can stll see the "Sell" button and just hit that after the item has been put up for sale. It will reuse the same window. Hopefully we can get a revamp of that interface and add some more batch options in the future.
2a. Stockboi Droid is based off of a BLL. It can travel to ANY Bazzar or a Vendor listed on a planetary map. It can travel 1) the cheap-but-slow route of walking to destination. or 2) fast-but-costly route by using shuttleports. Stockboi Adv Droid is based off of a BLL Adv, and can travel via starports to other planets, and then use the above 2 choices for reaching the final destination.
2b. Droid can load stock into destination vendor/bazzar or pick up items already available/purchased.
2c. We would get reduced price tickets for the Droids as we progress up the Efficienfy Tree.
3a. Hiring 1 -Delivery missions at the General Mission Terminal. Player picks up items from a vendor/bazzar to deliver to another player that has purchased items remotely. Player receives money in bank upon delivery (not thru trade window, but a Deliver Item option off the radial). Customer has option to tip, but not required.
3b. Hiring 2 - Survey (Artisan) and Hunting(Explorer) Missions - Player retrives particular resource from source and delivers it to a Bazzar (the Stockboi Droid can alway pick it up for you).
3c. Hiring 3 - Entertainer Missions - not sure how to do this one exactly, but maybe someone could pay the Merchant and the Merchant posts the mission. Might be a way to get entertainers to go to other cantinas besides Coronet, like Endor or Yavin.
3d. Hiring 4 - No idea. Maybe Faction-based Smuggling Missions - Deliver x to Rebels or Empire and expect heavy resistance. Faction being benefitted might award FP on success, or cover a percentage of the cost or something
3e. Master Merchant - Player Bounties or something like that.
Would be nice to have an optional preview window for item on vendors/bazaar like we have in inventory instead of having to click examine on each item to see stats etc.
I was thinking the same thing tonight thoguh I am not sure where it would go in the current interface
I don't see any other threads right now, so I suppose a post in this one is most appropriate... when I was doing Merchant on my alt, there was the bug where you couldn't get into your vendor after reset... the bug is still there and I'm sitting here trying to get into a Chef's vendor and it sits at "Initializing the vendor."
I'm not a merchant or anything anymore, but thought I'd point out the annoyance anyways... if I'm not mistaken this affects both customers [can't buy] and the sellers [can't stock].
