Well, to be honest, the vendor search is not THE reason I am shutting down my operations. But it is a contributing factor... one I might be willing to deal with if my vendors were more user-friendly.

There was a post from long ago, cleverly written, back when vendors hardly worked at all. I should dig it up for old time's sake. =)

A simple relist button would make all the difference for me. I haven't given up on the vendors yet, butI just can't see getting many sales if I can't get my products onto the first page. As a merchant I have no way to advertise around that. Less sales means more work for me having to relist everything and I don't really feel up to it anymore. I think unless sales really pick up that as things fall off the vendor I will be putting them on the bazaar for 100cr (this includes really good weapons) just to be rid of them and closing shop. People who know what I craft can send me special orders, but I can't see spending hours doing all this tedious restocking while so many of the tedious time sinks have been removed from the combat game.

An excellent thread full of excellent points.

Since we're removing hideously boring time sinks from the game, why not let the process continue for the crafting community? Seems logical to me. The insanity of trying to keep my vendors stocked combnied with the new search function is what's led me to shut down my vendors after nearly 2 years of operation. If some of the mind-numbing boredom of stocking and re-listing were addressed, I might not have made the same decision.

/agree x 10

I'm praying that the outcome of the vendor search function is my entire stock sells out and I can shut down my vendors and live on my retirement savings.

I've absolutely had enough of the tedium of stocking. I'm afraid to even think about how many hours I've spent overnearly 2 years myselfjust stocking my goods. I used to LOVE putting funny descriptions in the comment area for a sale, but now that's just one more step in a laborious process.

I wish I could just delete everything but I don't have the heart. And to turn it all over to someone else would take just as long as restocking, so I just go on and on and on....

Well, I'm better than dirt! Well, most kinds of dirt.
I mean, not that fancy store-bought dirt.
That stuff's loaded with nutrients. I can't compete with that stuff.

If i had to list my top 10 annoying bugs and things that could be fixed

1. RELIST button, will alow me to relist severeal items at the same price

2. Just because a durni took a crap in the middle of a field i cant place my harvesters or factories? make items like these less sensitive to terreain, you would think in a society with blasters, space travel, and 3000 pwr buffs they would know how ot level terrain a bit

3. Surveying, following an ore for 20 minutes jsut to find out that some jack@$$ placed a damn city ontop of my 90% consentration which drops to 30 outside city limits

4. Factory BUGS, your factory has stopped making items bla bla jammed output hopper full, i rush ot check, output hopper 79/100, drop 200k maint in 4 days later, your factory has ran out of maintenece

5. Having to keep 5 small houses and the banks on 2 characters full of resources when i would have enough with 100 or 200 spaces if they would stack to 500k

6 . Getting emails for everything non important, like its like getting an email when i use the bathroom, but not when someone is breakin into my damn house.

I would like email in the following situations

- You harvester at ( ) has run out of power

- [insert name]has offered an item to your vendor at ( )

- Your structure has run out of maintenence at ( )

i do not need an email for the following situations

- Unsuccesful auctions, i find this out when i check my vendor, since i do that every 1 - 3 days

- i do not need 2 emails whenever my factorys run out of a certain ingredient, i need 1 : Your [insert factory here has run out of This thing here] , i dont need one like that and one more telling me it stopped, its pretty logical for a thinking human being that when somethign is out of an item it cant keep running, its like getting a gun with a 9 bullet clip firing 9 shots and asking why you cant fire 10 more

7. Break up button : would break a factory crate into smaller bits and sell them at a certain price

8. Bigger input hoppers on crafting stations, you devs know il only get 4 of the mofo's lined up and use em all, let me get 1 with a 400 item hopper will ya?

9. additional lots in the merchant proffession and in all crafting proffessions, its almost impossible to run any form of buisness without atleast 2 - 3 extra accounts to donate lots

10. More diversity in crafting, everyone with the same resources with the same amount of points can get the exact same product, id like to seemore oppertunitys to atleast make the items look differently, for instance in my case weapons, a way to customize the different parts, more than we can now. an architect, ateast let them color furniture and so on, let tailors cutomize the shape of clothing and so on.
