Thread: OK DEVS You've helped our Customers...

Well, to be honest, the vendor search is not THE reason I am shutting down my operations. But it is a contributing factor... one I might be willing to deal with if my vendors were more user-friendly.
There was a post from long ago, cleverly written, back when vendors hardly worked at all. I should dig it up for old time's sake. =)
A simple relist button would make all the difference for me. I haven't given up on the vendors yet, butI just can't see getting many sales if I can't get my products onto the first page. As a merchant I have no way to advertise around that. Less sales means more work for me having to relist everything and I don't really feel up to it anymore. I think unless sales really pick up that as things fall off the vendor I will be putting them on the bazaar for 100cr (this includes really good weapons) just to be rid of them and closing shop. People who know what I craft can send me special orders, but I can't see spending hours doing all this tedious restocking while so many of the tedious time sinks have been removed from the combat game.

An excellent thread full of excellent points.
Since we're removing hideously boring time sinks from the game, why not let the process continue for the crafting community? Seems logical to me. The insanity of trying to keep my vendors stocked combnied with the new search function is what's led me to shut down my vendors after nearly 2 years of operation. If some of the mind-numbing boredom of stocking and re-listing were addressed, I might not have made the same decision.

I'm praying that the outcome of the vendor search function is my entire stock sells out and I can shut down my vendors and live on my retirement savings.
I've absolutely had enough of the tedium of stocking. I'm afraid to even think about how many hours I've spent overnearly 2 years myselfjust stocking my goods. I used to LOVE putting funny descriptions in the comment area for a sale, but now that's just one more step in a laborious process.
I wish I could just delete everything but I don't have the heart. And to turn it all over to someone else would take just as long as restocking, so I just go on and on and on....

Is this it?
