Thread: How to solve the problem of wanting venders, not wanting to waste skill points

How about an idea of:

Anyone can have a vendor, one, two three, four, as many as they want or need.

BUT...the vendor cannot and will not function or do one single thing until..

Trained to do so by a Merchant with the appropriate (new) skill to train the vendor.

This could have different levels of vendor training skills, such as Customize (!) where the Merchant can "hire" for their client, a vendor that looks the way they like.

Or Merchandising - where the appropriately skilled Merchant can "train" the Vendor to bark ads/

Merchants would then be able to charge fees for these services, but not have to physically control the sales inventory of others.

Sorry but you are an idiot.

We all want things, and they aren't going to get rid of profession because we want it. I want to use Stims so get rid of medic and put that in the novice marksman line. I want to collect hides, so get rid of scout and put that in novice brawler line.

The game is about choices. You can't have everything or be everything.

Name calling isn't called for. And BTW, they have done exactly this. * waaaah I wanna harvest like a master ranger, but dont wanna spend 127 skill points. * BAM harvestor droids.

*waaaa I dont want to have novice medic just to heal my pets* BAM, pet stims dont take novice medic anymore, and are even on a different timer than people stims, so both can be used together.

* waaaaa I'm a combat medic, but can't move very fast, instead of me wasteing 15 points on novice scout, give me terrain negotiation for free* BAM, wouldn't want to upset the CMs now would we??

There are alot more examples of this patch by patch, if you want to look them up.
