I was trying to be concise (not easy for me!), so I didn't mention it in my last message, but I've been a Scout and enjoyed it for over two years now.

That's not the same thing as being a Master Scout and certainly not the same thing as being a Master Ranger, granted. But I've felt the pain, too. If anything I've said made it sound like I didn't care that these professions have been made less fun than they could be, please let me correct that impression now. I'm still baffled that Ranger (post-CU) costs the most skill points to get, yet returns so little special fun for that cost. Amazing.

I didn't make a point of saying this because it's important to me to be objective (and, if I'm going totalk about the results, to be perceived as objective) about the process of categorizing changes. I personally think Scouts and Rangers haven't gotten the love they deserve (i.e.,changes thatwould make their game and everyone else's more fun), but I can't focus on that and be objective.

So if I'm going to try to rebuild my database, and even include changes from publishes 10-20, let me just say that every professioncouldbemore fun. I think some are hurting more than others -- worse,I have concerns that some playstyles are being overserved while othershave beenbadly underserved. But I'm not going to focus on any of that -- I'll just categorize changes as honestly as possible and let the numbers fall where they may.

And then we can talk about who's covered with kisses and who'sgot bruises shaped like anerf bat.
