Since when did it become a crime, or something to feel guilty about to make a profit? Be it as much of a profit as possible, or as little.
You people need to read some Ayn Rand for chrissakes.

We're not saying"lets go give away lightsabers that do 1 mil damage minimum"we're just saying the prices r unfair, like for instants a gong, those thing sell for 1 mil,75k at the least and what do they do?NOTHING!they're just there to look pretty(despite the fact that they r far from pretty)or a rug, another 75k thing.and btw we're not saying lets not make a profit,we're saying that most stuff is way too steep for a lot of us.I mean i'm a merchant with 3 vendors and do i have enough to even buy a rug?no.sure i could've boughten one when i was grinding doc pretty hard but ididn't want to cause they r very ugly and i could make one for way cheeper.i perfer wooly hides for carpet anyway, but that's not the point.maybe stuff is priced right in ur galaxy, but not in most other galaxies.

Well, like others have said, it's a free market. Sure, there are items out there with no practical function that go for millions, but if someone is willing to pay that amount, then what can you do. Same thing in RL...most people wouldn't even consider paying 5 million for a painting, even if it was within their means; yet, there are many art collectors who consider it worth the money. It comes down to supply and demand, not fairness and equality, unfortunately...

I run a small software company in RL, and quite often I simply have to shrug at a prospective client and suggest they find someone with rates that are a bit lower than mine because they simply can't afford what they want from who they want. Does it irritate them? Sure, guess it does, but my business is my own, no one else's.

As in game, I charge what I can get for an item, if you can't afford it, I'm so very sorry.
However, it's not my place to ensure that you have whatever you want for whatever price you want.

The market you're describing is a good generalization of Socialism, as I said before. While I realize it's the 'flavour of the month' with the kids of today, there are any number of countries (Cuba springs to mind) which one can look at to realize that it's not a viable economic system.

I'm not in business to be a slave to your inadequacies, nor am I responsible for anyone's happiness and business but my own.
As I said in an earlier post: The word profit is not a curse word, nor is the search for profits a crime.

Very well put Jeebus. Most people agree with what you say. /thumbsup

There will always be a small minority (however vocal) that will not like the current system. To them I say, tough. If you need more cash, then earn it. Thats how thepoor became rich and it's extremely easy to do in SWG.

It comes down to supply and demand, not fairness and equality, unfortunatelyuh huuuuuuuh, but this is a video game and in video games we can have an unlimited supply of junk...........sry just felt like makin more dots

I'm not questioning anything you may or may not have said. Based on your notations above, I can see you're more interested in arguing for the sake of arguing above anything else. I'm done with this thread.
