Well done and well said. I couldnt agree more. I also agree with what u said about the combat balance and crafting. Combat IS messed up, and ur right, if this change goes through, the big picture in crafting classes will be as well.
Constant change IS NOT ALWAYS GOOD Devs.

Here's what I think SOE's agenda is...This game is a direct threat to their business in regards to their online games, including the new EQ2. So they need to encourage business by screwing over games that aren't completely their own projects. Look at Earth and Beyond...Great concept, great game, screwed over by nerfs, and now virtually dead. What happened? Gamers went back to EQ. I can see the same thing happening here...One game, maybe just a coincidence, but two? Plus is it really good business sense to really TRY to do a great job on a game that SOE has to share profits with LAthat is direct comptition to something that SOE completely runs? No, not at all. You want to do the better job on the product that is yours completely, and do your best to discredit the one that you don't. More profit in the long run. Does this explain some of the changes and the steady decline of quality of this game? Maybe. Conspiracy theory? Maybe, but we've seen stuff like this go down in the corporate world all the time.
Just my two cents...

Great way to remind us of how stupidly moronic the devs can be at times...Did any of them take economics? How's this...The US govt talks to SOE and says that they are selling too many products to the American Public, so their vendors (i.e. Best Buy, Gamestop, etc...) will only be able to sell100,000 products nationwide. Oh, and that's total, not per product. So that's 100,000 SWG, EQ, EAB, EQ2, FFXI, etc...nationwide. Oh and each store can only have a maximum of 20 products, have a nice day...Now would SOE stand up for that? No. So why should we?

and btw when i said buy more servers i ment the machines that make everything run, not actual new servers, but you raised a good point about number of players people can create across servers.

I agree.
this is a area we have freinds too and look forward to see ing them.
I know several good freinds will be killing off extra accounts over the nerf the rumor of the macro loop being removed.
one of my closest friends has 9 accounts.
both his dancers will no longer be needed if the macco loop thing happens and 3 of his crafters will no longer be needed.
like he said he will dis band his city and go to 1 account untill wow comes out then he will say screw this.
sad we have been freinds since launch.
thats just one friend.
another is a tailor fighter she will drop her 2 nd and 3 rd account.
so in the long run sony will be loosing a lot of accounts. and we will be loosing friends.
well we all no that sony does nt care.

WOOT you go Mr. omniReaperr lol your words are only the echo of our thoughts and the anger of our cry if this happens.... I second, third and fourth your post my friend. I have dedicated my wealth through my mining, artisan and merchant skills to helping others in this game. many many players on Naboo can verify that. I have spent well over 36 million in creds, items and resources freely to those in need of help or assistance. If this vendor nerf goes live it will kill two of my accounts and my ability to help others as i will be focused purely on self survival at that point. The vendor item limits are not the only thing that will be affected, it will be like a stone thrown into a still pond and the rings of its damage will encompass many many other areas as well. Enough said and later all.....

i went on a month long holiday to Scotland and lost my entire SWG business.
1000 Imperial PSGs.... GONE
200 Full Suits of Composite Armor, all made from extinct resources..... GONE
1500+ Sliced Weapons, just about every craftable weapon..... GONE
1000 Crated Repair Kits.... GONE
1000 Crated Powerups...... GONE
Resources for 3000+ 4th Gen Sabers..... GONE
5 Million+ Units of Varrious Resources...... GONE
I hardly even play anymore. because of the very clumsy and downright frustrating vendor UI i havent bothered to restock my shop. havent messed with getting more weapons sliced. havent run a single schematic since i got back.
WANT TO KNOW THE GOOD NEWS? I got engaged in Scotland! My fiance couldnt be happier that Im not playing SWG anymore, and the great part of it all is that I do NOT miss it one bit! She's THRILLED!
i do miss the friends and the joy of watching my bank account grow and the compliments on my weapons and armor, but its just not worth it. i was thinking of getting the business started up witha vengance but now that i see the devs trying to control the PLAYER ECONOMY with a broadsword, vendor limits, i just dont see the pleasure or satisfation in babysitting vendors.
did the devs ever try listing items on a vendor? it took me hours upon hours to stock my shop, the UI is wretched!

Right...so I've played since launch. I've experienced every major nerf to come along in this game...some good, most bad. I've experienced "balances", I've experienced "changes"...I've been through everything this game has had to dish out to me, and I still keep on trucking...that being said...
This new merchant change makes me GENUINLEY mad...no, I don't suppose mad is the right word. PISSED, raging, fuming, absolutle engulfed in a sea of hatred and despisal...that works better. Up until now, the market has worked. It has worked WELL...there are a few dumbasses who use vendors for their own personal storage. Great, fine, punish them, I don't care. HOWEVER...what this is doing is punishing the MAJORITY for the faults of the MINORITY..and it just might sound the deathknell for this game untill their precious JTL, or the much-anticipated, never delivered, combat balance. The devs have done some relativley stupid things in the past (see unlock restriction)...but I believe that this takes the prize for being, quite possibly, the LARGEST blunder that the developers have made in this game, and I believe, firmly, that this will seal the economy on most servers. ARE YOU LISTENING DEVS?! You have a 34 page post, 99.8% of which is AGAINST this change...you have overwhelming comments AGAINST it in other posts, MUCH feedback from many forums, focus groups...whatever the hell you use to make your descisions, and yet you STILL find it in your pea-addled brain to DO THIS?!...
Right. I know about 8 people on my server alone that WILL quit if this thing goes through. This dont mean squat to SOE, and it doesnt mean diddly **edit** to the people reading this, but this MMO is about COMMUNITY...and personally, I believe the devs are very quickly and efficiently distancing themselves from that.
So, bravo devs. You have finally reached the peak of stupidity. What will you do now?...."LIBELAW LIBELAW TIMMAH!"...you get the picture.
End of rant, flame all you wish, dont care...had to get that off my chest on the 0.0000000019% chance that the devs will actually pull their heads out from their collective asses.
Gnight.
I seriously don't think Devs actually play the game much, especially not the GCW. It's been painfully obvious they do not think things through as clearly shown here and many, many examples almost since launch.
