Not all is about achieving something. And I'm sure there are others who would much rather shop there than from a bulky terminal. I'm selling sliced composite and weapons which can be very lucrative so it could probably be done from any shop/vendor but I'm one box from master anyway, because I wouldn't enjoy placing bulky terminals in a deserted house.

I don't know what you're trying to achieve by trolling the merchant boards, do you?

and that takes up about 1/2 hour of his time...

then those skills will jsut sit there never to be used again..

ad barking is annoying and causes lag. map listings are ok but there are so many and i have done just as well without it. people dont trust it to lead them to a full vendor. most of your business will come by people doing a profession search rather than using the map.

but none of the skills you are listing are actually MASTER skills...they are all acquired BELOW master.

i am not trolling...i am offering a differing opinion...i am a Merchant....i have been a master merchant...i was a merchant in beta, testing it for all you carebears...i have been a merchant since day 1 of this game so i guess that is maybe why i choose to visit this forum.

i really wishthat people would start focusing on REAL merchant issues and stop beleiveing that all this window dressing are really skills. maybe i will start a post that is actually about NEW things and not just trying to take everyones vendors away.

I agree with that but that doesn't mean that one of them adbarking a message telling me that the new rifles will be in on Tuesday isn't a bad thing.

Yeah, I LOVE adbarking. Tells me what's on the vendor, gives me news, and I'm gonna use it for RP advertising in my cantina ("Psst, I hear the boss has some ancient Jedi artifacts, give him a call." says the bartender)

Wow, I didnt realize so many would respond so feverishly. I got Master Merchant to help our servers best Meds maker. The vendor is in a cities mall. I have him adding stuff to my vendor at the price he wants to sell the stuff. And after a month I havent made money, actuall lost a little due to fees.

How does he add stuff and I markit up approrietely, is there a resoanble markup calculation everyone is using?

Is there a plan to allow acess to my vendor control panel to partners in the future?

Ahhh now we have the start of a good topic. How does one calculate a fair profit for reselling goods on a vendor. The answer from me is.. I don't know. My standard fee is 10% plus bank fees. I don't now if that will work for you or not.

First you have to decide what your costs are and what his volume is and then you can determine how much per transaction would allow you to make a profit.

As for adding partners We have asekd for better tools to allow the partner to set a retail price and allow you to mark it up and everyone get paid automatically. That would reduce your time in doing all the calculations and such. We haven't gotten an answer on that yet.
