Thread: Getting npc merchant and surrendering merchant class... ?
I disagree with almost everything you say about this subject and I beleive we are just going to have to agree to disagree.
Everyone CAN'T do what you are suggesting. I can't. Not and be a master merchant. What you really mean is any crafter who doesn't want to sink skills points into merchant and doesn't want to hire a merchant can get around the requirement that a merchant be involved by surrendering the skill and taking advantage of the fact that the vendor doesn't stop working for you. I maintain that it is unfair to me as a Master Merchant for you to use the skill perk that I have when you don't have the skill. You admit that if something similar happened to your chosen profession you would lobby to have it fixed. that is what we are doing. We are simply telling you that if you choose to take advantage of this situation it could be changed at any point becasue we are not going to stop lobbying for it to be fixed.
The design of the game suggests VERY strongly that the devs didn't intend for non merchants to have NPC vendors. If they had wanted you to have them they wouldn't have made it a requirement that you have Novice merchant to get one and they wouldn't have prevented you from trading or selling vendors.
