Thanks Elyssa,

I very much appreciate your assistance on this issue. As soon as you hear something definitive on this, please let me know. I am going to submit a ticket as ask the CSR to verify the vendor is operating normally.

Thanks again,

Zonoma

Over 12 hours later after placing 3 more vendors for a total of 5, I had 300 merchant xp. At what point did they take out getting experience from the fact that you are a merchant and have vendors?

I don't remember reading this being changed- and it's kind of a big deal. I don't want to have to bug all my friends to buy junk for 1 credit just to raise back to master merchant.

Please tell me it's a bug, and please say they're working on it

Do your vendors have maintenance?
Have you visited them?

You get significantly less xp if your vendors have no maintenance.

Also, they only give xp when they're loaded into the world.
Once they load in, they will catch up on what they've missed.

You get no xp from making sales, but you get xp every time someone views the items you have up for sale.

Have you visited them? See my post - I had made them over 12 hours previously when I had trained through the 80K I had and 30K I lost just from training my first box. I had 0 xp, was 0112, and over 12 hours later I only had 300 xp after 2 sales.

It means that items inside a building unload from the game world and vanish when nobody needs to see them.
While your vendors are in this condition, you will not get any xp from them.
When anyone enters the building with your vendors, they will load back into the world and about a minute or so later they will catch up on all the xp you had missed from them while they were not in the game world.

Basically, walk into the building with your vendors and see if you get the xp.

Yes, it was determined several months ago that vendors exist just like harvesters and factories do.

They aren't actually "There" until a player comes within range of them. That is when they "load in" to the game world and "exist" again. They then catch up to whatever function they do, calculating the time they would have been doing that function if they had existed in real time. A harvester does not exist until someone gets in range and sees it. It is sitting there empty and not running until it loads into the world again. It's hopper magically fills with however much resources it should have mined in that amount of time. And it's maintenance and power deduct then too.

Vendors are the same. They only exist when someone enters the building they are in. (That is why most merchants visit their vendors each day. Force loading.) All accumulated xp gained (both passive xp from your vendors merely existing and xp gained from vendor views) loads intoexistence at that time. That is why you get xp in batches and not a constant trickle. It only queries the database at intervals, and does not grant you the xp until you log in. And if your vendors have not been force loaded that xp won't be granted until you or someone else does so.

Weird huh?

Nobody has mentioned that you only get get the exp if you have the building declared your residence. I'm talking about the 50exp per vendor/hour exp. Maybe that's the problem?

Residency doesn't matter.

The only building ownership that matters is the 50xp you get when someone pays an entrance fee.

My old old vendors now look differently than they were before the CU and are wearing different clothes than they were, they haven't been changed by me in over 18 months.

Anyone else having problems with the new Stacked items?

As in, you loot something that has multiple items, like armor layers for example. On the vendor they have the name and then to the right is supposed to be the count, how many are in the stack. It appears that after server reset, all those counts are gone, so there is no way for the customer to know how many items are in a stack.

That is related to another bug already listed in this forum.
Resources, charged items, and crates are not showing their details on the item list page without re-listing them from inventory.
However, they revert back to no data showing on a server reset.

I'm going to try to compile them here once they're located.
Please try to keep the bugs limited to those specifically related to being a merchant.
Also be sure to /bug them in-game and post them on the Devs' bug threads.

- Item details not showing up in vendor listings (Known issue. You must remove the item to your inventory and re-list the item)

I have noticed that you have to do this after ever server reset / downtime. As an armoursmith, this is very very annoying. Customers will not buy what they cant see and taking off hundreds of items and relisting them (and I am talking all different specific crafted items with different prices) is not a nice job to do often.
