While I've definatly made a lot of short-term money in the new Auction channel, I can definatly say that I've seen a HUGE drop-off in vendor sales. I was consistantly selling 1-2 vehicles a day. Now, since the patch, I haven't sold a single one from my vendor. So, I can see it both ways. It's a nice way to make some money fast, but it's killed my merchant XP.

I don't know whats going on on other servers other than Chimaera and Scylla but at least on these servers I would think that the majority of items that get sold via the auction channel (apart from the ads for shops and vendors) are items that wouldn't have sold on vendors but either via the trade forums or in Coronet. Perhaps the drop in vehicles sales on your vendor has other reasons?Maybe there is some new competition arround your block?

I haven't seen any change is sales either. If anything, I had my best weekend ever this week.
I personally dislike the channel and haven't looked at it after the first day it came in. I might give it another try but I don't see this as a key sales channel for merchants yet.

I've been in there a few times but it doesn't interest me much. I make my products, I put them on the vendor. I let them sell..I make more. *shrug*

I don't bother with the auction channel...it seems like most folks aren't discussing trade in there anyways..

All this will do is relieve pressure from the galaxy trade forums. The people that go there were ones that would have used those and not merchants.

Not all players go the boards. I think I have read somewhere it as low as 10% of all players are active here. The other 90% not have access to that trade as well.
