I saw a female toon in Theed with the name "Me-So Horny".....and yet you can't put Imperial on a vendor. Nice.

You know it really pisses me off that we have guys running around with names like chevy chase, greanleaf toker, XR kune, and sauron, but I can't use the word imperial in the name of a vendor that is only going to sell imperial ships. I was also unable to use the word wookiee when I had a tailor and wanted to place a wook vendor that sold wookieee clothing only. THis is very backwards to me.
*edited 'cause I can't spell.

One-star this post if you're a filthy exploiter.
Five-star it if you're an honest merchant.

I discovered that the word "discount" is not allowed by the filter... I guess SOE thinks discount is a dirty word.
It figures doesn't it?

That's just so you can't try to slip the phrase "this count" past the filter.
You know... as in "discount dooku guy is bad news!"

Funny as it sounds, I bet that any string containing "count" is disallowed for that very reason. As far as I can tell, the name filter consists of every name of every character in Star Wars canon, plus every dirty word they could think of.
For example, try creating a vendor called "Free Handjobs". It'll fail because of the "Han".

I have argued in the past about this but mainly I've been told that SOE can't control the requirements for the filter that is the publishers decision. We're mostly just stuck with it.
