I like one-stop shopping and being able to rely on a sole brand.

If I want any type of armor I want to know I can go to ____'s shop and get what I'm looking for at the quality and price I expect. Same with weapons and clothes and food.

I agree. The item cap on vendors is absurd and much too limiting. The item cap in homes alone are much too limited. The developers gave us 50 or so extra spaces in the homes but still... Not enough. When I first heard they were giving us more room in homes I was thinking a couple hundred, especially for medium/large/PA. It's impossible to fully decorate a large home or PA and barely do-able with a medium... Without having any storage left over.

But I don't blame the developers. If it was truly up to them I think they would agree and even if they don't give us what we ask for. But SOE is greedy. The most greedy corporation right after EA Games -- In the gaming industry. So I blame SOE. EQ2 too has absurd restrictions and homes can't even be used for storage. Also 4 character slots unless you subscribe to their stupid online junk.

Oh I don't do malls.

Like a store that features WS, AS, Chef... Nuh uh. To me that is tacky. Also... When you go to a resteraunt that serves Asian, American and European... It all sucks. Or seafood and steak and italien... Ew. I prefer a seafood resteraunt, italien resteraunt and steak house... Not all on the same menu. I want the chef to speacilize in one area.

Same with stores.

Malls and junk are tacky and I think they have less quality then those stores that have one focus. I'll run into them if they are there and advertise to have what I'm looking for but I rarely ever go back unless I'm looking for random junk like loot that can turn up in any old vendor.

Also, crafters come and go. My favorite tailor and WS and AS are all gone. I don't even have a store that I go to right now for items all the time because I have yet to find that one crafter who really sticks out to me.

I find this interesting. I am constantly having people comment on my very nice 'mall' thatI run. I do not consider it a mall at all. A mall to me has different merchants selling different products or the same products at different qualities and prices, like a mall. My business offers a wide selection of items that is produced by our guild crafters. Each vendor sells a differentcategory of product. Clothing, Mod-clothing, Pets, Non-Ch Pets, Food and Drink, Deeds, Furniture... etc. We have six crafters dedicated to producing the best product we can, and offering a well-stocked and always stocked vendor for said items. Recently, we finally got the weaponsmith up to par producing quality goods that we're known for having at our House of Business.

I find it a challenge to reach the 4000 item limit mark each week. Every time I think I can take a break from crafting or stocking, or put production on hold for certain items, I go back and discover that since the last time I did an inventory count that was at 3800+, I'm back down to 3000 items. That's just on my half of the vendors. My rl husband maintains the other half of the vendors we have. He's not on as often as I am, and he's also the armour/droid crafter. As such, he has only kept a stock of about 500 on the ones he manages. That is until we started up the weaponsmith business. I doubled that amount in one sitting by putting up the first round of weapon crafting we did. (He gets to restock it though, I already have my vendors to restock, muhahaha. Well, unless I'm feeling particularly nice and sign in his character to do it for him.)

Since our guild works together as a group, if we run out of vendor space to continue to offer the services we do, we already have two other characters able to take Master Merchant to help out. Heaven forbid though, the idea of restocking that many vendors during a slow month makes me wince.

Well some malls are nice... There is this one little mini-mall outside of Coronet and its nicely decorated... I go there often.

But not to find something in particular. If I'm looking for a new FWG I'm going to go to a store that is exclusively weapons of a certain brand. But if I'm just looking around I'll go to the little mall... Especially when I just want to see loot and other random stuff -- I been out of game for a few months and there is ALOT of stuff I never seen before, lol.

And ASs and WS may not have that much of a challenge in keeping their vendors stocked atm seeing how there is only a few select items that actually sell. But tailors have alot of items that sell and they can't bundle them together in a set like comp armor. So its much harder for them with the restrictions.

And after the CURB ASs and WSs will too face that challenge when there is a demand for the other products. Only tailor still has it harder as they can't really mass manufacture.
