I've done the same things and I have around 20 items stuck in limbo. I sent a holocron ticket and all that was said was sorry theres nothing we can do at this time. Sigh, we should all complain loud enough so they take the time to actually fix it. I don't think it would be too hard to add that destroying a vendor doesn't mean losing items.

I'm having the same problem.. only it's 150+ items. Damnit. I assume this is acknowledged as a known issue by the devs? Or should I keep bugging them?

Yikes, I have the same problem. Orphaned items from removing a vendor. Actually, in my case I was hoping it would destroy the contents. Well it didn't, and I guess thats the proper and safe way for it to work.But now the game is charging themaintenance fees on those items and I can't remove them. So this is a bug that actually costs money. Has anyone gotten any woprd on this at all?

EVERYONE keep bugging them till they fix the **edit** thing.. Whoever shouts loudest will get things done quickest (Shout in a polite way though )

Bear in mind how few merchants there are compared to say CH's - If we want action we are going to have to shout pretty load and very often !!!
