as far as economy being broken, i dont know about that but i do know there is a massive redistribution of credits going on right now in the game. alot of people have quit and are selling all of their belongings

things will probably calm down over time

There is a dip in the economy right now - and it should have been expected by all of us! Everyone was anxious for the CU and they were given RoTW pretty much at the same time. Becasue of that everyone's running around re-learning the game - finding the new content. With all that, who wants to craft anything? I'm a Wookiee Rifleman - can I find anyone who wants to make me a set of armour and a rifle I can now use? You must be joking - and the one armoursmith who did respond to my mails said he would if he could source the ingredients. This has obvious pressure on the game - for those who want to go out and play who were un-prepped for such an event (like me!) and for those who like crafting but rely too heavily on suppliers.

There is something here the Devs may want to consider though - and that is: Next time large sweeping changes are made that cause excitement for pretty much the entire player base, push them out in more obvious, smaller steps - let people adjust to the changes. Because when you don't (I know CU was pushed out in numerous changes but the real obvious meat was out in a single publish) you will undoubtedly get a frustrated audience.

I wanted to showcase the game to a new house mate, but I can't really do anything without the tools to play the game at my current level and the only reason I have to wait for those tools at present is the huge additional content presented to us in one go.

BTW- that wasn't a complaint, I still love the new updates!

I believe it is because of that, the fact that crafters are now trying out combat, the fact that combat players that were a hybrid of crafting are now forced to combat, that is why we are seeing a decrease in items being made, thus an increase in item cost.

Believe me, if I see my item fly off the shelves before I can get more made... I'm going to up the price on that item. We just have to wait for some more crafters to get in the game, we will then see the market shift back to an equilibrium.

It's likely that alot of crafters have quit (due to getting in stomped over in combat by just about anything now) or have [now] respec'd to a combat class (or have simply been doing more combat than crafting lately)

My bounty hunter droid sales are through the roof (because its FOTM right now) but most of my other sales are now dead

I suspect this is because I do alot of loot furniture and my guess is that people who play SWG primarily for combat (i.e. a good portion of those still playing) arent interested in buying anything that doesnt assist their combat ability

My crate business has been dead lately. Clothing has been down. I expect it'll turn back up once respecs end and the "leaving the game" sales work their way out.

im thinkin that the economy isnt broke, but it does take a little longer to earn credits even in a full group of 8 now . the seemingly infinate spawns from a lair take a while to kill so hunting for cash is slower but the payouts are good compared to the nerfed up old misison pay

My husband is a WS and SW. He has more business than he can handle especially after RoTW.

For me my vehicles, and food/drinksare sellingquite well, but my furniture, clothing andgeneral artisan items have slowed down seriously.

But to me this makes sense. More vehicles are being attacked, with respec people need new weapons for their new proffessions, food and drink still provide a combat edge. RoTW created a lot more to do in space. As far as armor goes, I respected my combat character and changed her existing armor, then respected again and had to go buy armor. Then I respected again and needed another kind of armor. LOL. (I did the same thing with weapons) After a while my guild had to set up a weapon/armor swap for those of us who couldnt make up our minds.

But times they are a changin'. Never thought I'd see the day Bofa Treats out sell Brandy.
