Awesome! Thanks TH!

Now if we can just get them to abandon this horrid idea of nerfing crafting experimentation....

Good idea on the long term fix.

However, if you're going to leave bags in for now, you might want to add some sort of popup for bags in a vendor/on the bazaar for those people who don't read the forums. Don't know if this can be done, but it'll save you a lot of complaints from people who get scammed.

Yep - we'll be doing a disclaimer type of message for it...

To those that one stared me, is this not an issue? Vendors are not meant for storage of a persons resources. Bags are one way to get around that easily.

I'd really like them find a better way for selling groups of items, and custom orders.

THANK YOU DEV TEAM!!!!!!

Things like this give me hope for the game. You guys have really managed to improve the test and release cycle. Thanks for listening to us.

Also thank you to everyone who made constructive arguments against this change. I'm really hoping that this becomes the normal way things get done around here.

Cant this type of information be logged? Such as Name of Bag, and the Items in the Bag at time of purchase so the scammers can be banned or temporarily banned?

Thank you from the bottom of this Armorsmith's heart.

Let's pretend for a moment that I was sick and tired of trying to create works of art that were funny or interesting. Instead I decided to become a worthless political cartoonist, scrawling my work on the backs of paper dinosaurs and eagerly anticipating the next tragedy so that I could draw a picture of a bald eagle crying on a torn American flag. If that's what I decided to do, then my first cartoon might be a drawing of a mouse trap which I would label "Star Wars Galaxies". Inside the mouse trap I would draw a piece of cheese and I would label it "The Jump to Light Speed expansion". Then off to the side I would draw an octopus that would represent America's foreign policy pre 9-11.

Thanks for the careful thought on this. Perhaps instead of just making all bag's contents viewable, it might be preferable to remove the ability to have bags on vendors, except a special 'merchant bag'...it would be another useful item in the merchant trees, and perhaps this item's 'details' could show contents. I don't know whether this would be more or less painful to the handle code wise...either way, I somewhat doubt that this issue is a house on fire, as we do have customer service to deal with griefers.

Thank you for reversing course and giving more time to come up with a solution...

Maybe in the future if this is still implemented, at least leave Cargo Pockets and Satchels as useable on Vendors... That will allow Tailors to sell a complete wardrobe, Armorsmiths to sell complete suit of armor including PSGs,Architects to sell a complete home furnishing package, and everyone tosell a complete set of serial numbered loot drops...

Thanks... ^_^

and when they do find a better method, they can pull the bag. But pulling the bag, and not providing a means to handle grouped items (mainly but not limited to Armorr) is just wrong.

Thank you Devs for listening.

I don't know of any merchants that scam people with bags other thanto deter the players that steal custom orders from other players, Especially bags marked "for so and so, do not buy...custom order..etc" so much stealing was going on that merchants started putting fake bags up that still said they were a custom order but had something different in them. Yeah, the person who "Steals" the bag gets ripped off but oh well, bet he never does it again.

I think a good work around though would be a function that allows someone to place something on a vendor and mark it as public or type in a specific name, so only that person can buy it. That would fix a lot of problems. That way if you have special order fo john doe, then only john doe's character can buy it. Otherwise if it is marked public or whatever you want to call it, then anyone can buy it. Public can be the default to avoid wasted time selecting stuff.
