Did you ever stop to think that maybe all the merch hit the 30 day timer and the guy is just to busy or just sick to death of restocking it.
your best bet is to do s search for the profession who makes what you want and send a tell to one of them and ask them if they have the item you need
How about instead of trying to come up with a workaround, we try to fix the current problem. There is no reason for an empty vendor to be on the Planetary Map. I actually think it hurts the person more than helps. It does get their name out there, but it gets there name out there as having an empty vendor. If someone really wants to make it stick they can do the 100m cdef weapon. Same thing there though. If I would go to someone with an empty vendor except for a 100m cdef I wouldn't be returning anytime soon.
Merchants that don't stock their vendors are hurting vendors that do. If I knew for a fact that an armorsmiths vendor had armor on it if it was on the map I would go to almost all of them before buying. But now I tend to buy the first one that seems ok to me because more than likely the next 5+ are going to be completely empty.
